Java Developer Internship
Responsibilities
Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) acts as a business solution center for Societe Generale, one of the largest European financial groups. We provide high-quality professional services for more than 35 countries in various fields of activity – Finance & Accounting, HR, IT and Corporate Operations. RESPONSIBILITIES
The team is part of the Equity Prime Brokerage department, which oversees the life cycle and management for DPS (Dynamic Portfolio Swap) products and is present in Paris, Bucharest, Montreal & Hong Kong. We provide services and financing that allow our customers to exchange the performance of an equity portfolio against payment of interest. These tools integrate booking, product events and payment for operations, corporate actions, valuation, position management, client reporting, access to a client platform (SG Market).
Specifically, you will be required to:
Design and develop new features front to back as part of an agile/scrum team;
Ensure the delivery of high-quality and scalable solutions using modern development practices such as clean code, automated testing, monitoring, alerting and secure by design;
Provide L3 support on application in production environment, when needed;
Maintain and improve the continuous integration and delivery environment;
Profile required
Good understanding of algorithms and data structures, software development and testing, operating systems, web applications and databases;
Ready to consolidate your knowledge on design patterns, multi-threading, Java 8+ and relational database (PostgreSQL);
Willing to learn everything about microservices, Git, Maven, Spring and Sprint Boot, Jpa, Rest, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK, Javascript and Angular JS, Junit, Jenkins, Cucumber.
Previous experience acquired in an internship program is a plus
Last year student (Bachelor or Master, Computer Science or quivalent)
Good command of English, both written and spoken with the ability to participate in English-only meetings.
Team player, with good communication skills and motivated to grow in an international environment
