Junior Trade Confirmation Officer with French – M/F/D

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
- Confirming transaction’s presence and its’ economic characteristics,
- Identifying Front Office transactions that require the generation of the management system confirmation,
- Selecting appropriate templates for generating confirmations,
- Negotiating with the counterparty to validate the use of an existing document template,
- Following up with the counterparty to confirm the transaction is in compliance with established follow-up and escalation procedures,
- Analysing received documents from the counterparty and checking the economic and legal items,
- Undertaking necessary actions to resolve possible discrepancies (Middle Office and Front Office contacts, Legal, client, etc.)
- Drafting simple procedures (summary procedures) and performing periodical controls.
Profile required
You will be best suited for this role if:
- University degree with a specialization in Banking / Finance or equivalent,
- At least 1 year of experience in the banking industry, preferably in a similar role,
- Fluency in English and French,
- Good communication skills,
- Strong analytical thinking skills,
- Problem-solving orientation,
- Good work organization with attention to detail attitude,
- Experience with FX trade would be an asset,
- Knowledge of the capital market principles and the confirmation standards would be an asset,
- Knowledge of SWIFT messages used for the confirmation purpose would be an asset.
