Responsibilities

As a junior analyst on the Indexation Perimeter, the main missions will be to:

Take ownership and be responsible of the tools that ensure accurate Index compositions in our systems, in order to allow the desk to properly track hundreds of equity indices across AMER region.
Look for inventory optimization strategies linked to the flows generated by Index adjustments.

As part of a larger team you will also need to:

• Learn and master delta one products, pricing, risks and hedging.
• Help with the operation of the activity with major operational tasks.
• Monitor the daily production tasks and improve our setup.
• Further improve the tools used to price and analyze client transactions, optimize inventory usage, improve balance sheet profitability and manage funding constraints.
• Help traders in the monitoring of the market environment by collecting news and intelligence in order to provide the facts on which to base trading decisions and products pushes, this includes Repo, Funding and Dividends parameters.

This position will be part of the Investment Banking arm of Société Générale (SGCIB), specifically the Global Equity Flow (GEF) department in New York. 
 
The SGCIB/GEF desk offers to regional and worldwide customers flow and derivatives opportunities on a broad range of products, encompassing stocks, indices, warrants, Exchange Traded Funds and execution services on US markets.
Serving mainly institutional and retail investors, we provide reliable and competitive hedging solutions and risk management strategies. Capitalizing on our true global platform, SG CIB provides round-the-clock extensive pricing capabilities on derivatives, denominated in all major currencies.
More precisely, this position will be integrated within the Indexation Trading and ETF Market Making desk.

Competencies:
Required: Rigor, team player, reliable, hard worker, entrepreneurial spirit, able to think fast under pressure, strong knowledge of derivatives products.
 
Technical skills:
Required: Excel, VBA, Python
Desired/ Plus: Bloomberg, Python, C#, SQL
 
Prior Work Experience:
Desired/ Plus: prior experience on a delta one desk, knowledge of Latam market and specificities would be a plus.
 
Education:
Required: Graduate from Engineering School, Business School or Ivy League University, with major in Finance or Mathematics applied to Finance, or Computer science applied to Finance

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
