Responsibilities

Description of Business Line

Here a SocGen we are market leaders in the Renewables / Cleantech space and have develop extremely strong reputations in the Healthcare, Business Services, Transport and Luxury sectors.

Due to increased demand we are looking to appoint a VP into the team who can assist on both the origination and execution of Leveraged Buy-out and mid-market financings.

Our primary client base are Tier 1 sponsors and Direct Lenders primarily in the UK, but also covering The Netherlands, German, Scandinavian and other global funds including the USA.

We operate a very open and collaborative environment, free from much of the politics that can be prevalent at other Banks, giving everyone the chance to make a real impact. We focus on providing innovative solutions for our clients utilising all the resources available to us within the Bank.

Key Purposes of Role

·       Build and manage client relationships with target borrowers and private equity firms in the LBO sector

·       Identify and address client needs in terms of raising and managing client capital

·       Represent the LBO team in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory to the client base

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Effectively originate debt financing and advisory mandates in the LBO space

o   Specific focus on The UK, The Netherlands, Germany and Scandinavia for leveraged loans and high-yield bonds across all relevant currencies

·       Develop and maintain a track record of winning mandates, addressing clients’ borrowing needs

·       Contribute to the effective and responsible execution of mandates

·       Contribute to the development of the product offering, developing innovative and creative solutions based on improving customer service and product portfolio

·       Develop an internal network across product disciplines with a view to deepening relationships across business lines and realising product synergies. Developing client relationships at the appropriate level to ensure close client relationships throughout the hierarchy

Profile required

Experience / Competencies Required

·       Deep understanding of Capital Markets and Loan Financings, the dynamics and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to propose relevant financing solutions and advisory.

·       Track record in developing pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling and comprehensive in addressing clients’ needs.

·       Capacity to manage and understand risks (conduct, reputational, financial etc.) and to act responsibly with all applicable rules / regulations and SG group values / code of conduct.

·       Proven ability to build and develop client relationships based on trust and market acumen

·       Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and develop innovative solutions

·       Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Additional language skills are a bonus but not essential
