Lead Analyst - Software Asset Management
Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Oversee and Manage Flexera day to day operations management using Flexera in depth knowledge of FNMS components and functions.
- To take responsibility for administrating and managing Flexnet Manager Suite (Flexera) while analyzing software asset/license data, ensuring any variances flagged up on Exception reports.
- Administrator experience on Flexera FNMS for software asset management and in-depth knowledge on software license management and optimization.
- Responsible for deploying, configuring and upkeep of Flexera FNMS suite of products in enterprise environment including regular maintenance, patches and upgrade activities.
- Good knowledge on FNMS components and functions.
- Manage end-to-end software licensing processes for IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft.
- Should have knowledge and hands on experience on Windows/Unix/Linux environment. Integration with SCCM, discovery tools.
- Daily operational SAM activities including tracking of s/w license procured Vs deployment summary reports, license compliance monitoring.
- Monitor software usage to identify risks of non-compliance and under-utilization.
- Oversee operations of the processes related to Software asset life cycle management includes data analysis, exception identification, tracking and reporting compliances.
- Refine, maintain and adhere to policies, processes and best practices to enable appropriate management of IT Assets with respect to risk, cost and compliance.
- Lead Governance meet and contribute and participates in transformations projects.
- Demonstrate well organized execution, and timely delivery.
Relationship Management
- Be able to interact confidently with internal stakeholders and Business Unit leaders.
- Ability to understand business requirement and develop solutions.
Efficiency Management
- Look for opportunities for cost saving.
- Provide timely guidance by coaching, mentoring and regularly keep teams moral high.
- Initiate and contribute to achieve process efficiency through innovative ideas and automation.
Profile required
1. BE/B.Tech//Diploma/Bsc with minimum 5 years of Flexera FNMA Admin experience (IBM, Oracle, Microsoft)
2. Must have experience in FNMS installations/upgrades/fix packs/API integration/agent deployment.
3. Experience in Flexera One management
4. Handson experience managing Unix/Windows/Linux/Opensource OS environments.
5. Must be very good to support end to end software License Management life cycle processes.
6. Must be able to propose draft technical/Architectural designs solution aligned to meet a specific business need.
7. Must have experience collaborating with various IT teams, e.g Infrastructure, Security team, Workplace, Architecture, Vendors
8. Good communication skills (verbal, written) and Knowledge in Project management are desirable.
9. Ability to closely work with License Manager on publishing timely ELP reports.
10. Sound knowledge in license entitlements and procurement along with ELP reports
11. Ability to propose cost saving by way of optimization, simplification, automation, AI use case.
12. Must be able to manage effectively global Operations (key agreed deliverables, SLA’s and KPI’s) with focus for continuous improvement in process efficiency.
13. Provide various management reports measuring inventory, s/w compliance, risk level, renewals, remediation plan.
14. Support Software license audits in collaboration with various key internal stakeholders
