Lead -Data Quality
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of lineages and maintenance for the GDO
- Support the creation of a Data Lineage centre of excellence in GSC
- As the process evolves, participate in project initiation phase to implement Data Lineage requirements, and monitor till project completion and validation.
- Establish relationships across the organisation to understand, interpret and document the firms data flows in line with the Data Governance Framework and methodology
- Partner with business and IT SMEs to define the bank’s data, in line with our enterprise wide ‘data language’
- Identify and document the key controls that exist along the data flows that maintain the integrity of data and facilitate control framework assessments that ensure known gaps or issues documented
- Collaborate with our CDOs to ensure a comprehensive front to back picture is completed
- Present the findings to executive management, both through bilateral discussions and using existing forums, to confirm understanding and obtain ratification
- Maintain an excellent standard for all aspects of project delivery and governance, including planning, status reporting and risk management
- Participate in teams long term vision, strategy and quarterly objectives and key results
- Support the Lead analyst and partner with other team members, aligned businesses and control functions across teams and divisions
- Onboarding new joiners (trainings, support/guidance) to the team
- Support in drafting the standard operating procedures and in maintaining them
- Creating the escalation framework and ensuring adherence to
- Flagging discrepancies and/or anomalies in data in the appropriate forums and tracking.
Profile required
- At least 6+ years of experience within Data Management / Business Analysis
- Experience in Data Governance/Quality Management and / or Data Lineage is preferred
- Knowledge of banking or capital markets and familiar with regulations such as BCBS 239, IFRS, CCAR and an overall understanding of the KDO/CDE lifecycle
- Experience of leading larger teams and people management
- Strong organisation, project and program management skills with emphasis on timely delivery, risk management and stakeholder management, especially interacting with senior key stakeholders
- Ability to drive changes across the organisation and influence stakeholders
- Methodical, concise and accurate with strong attention to detail
- Ability to integrate teams to work towards a common goal, listen to different views and facilitate decision making
