Lead Expert
Responsibilities
The Treasury Control Tower (TCT) Lead is responsible for end-to-end oversight, governance, and risk control of Custodian and Nostro activities within the GBIS scope. The role provides Level 2 supervision, strengthens treasury controls, drives risk reduction (liquidity and operational), and ensures alignment with SG Group culture, conduct, and regulatory expectations.
- Provide Level 2 supervision for Accounts under GBIS scope, ensuring:
- End-of-day position monitoring
- Statement integration accuracy
- Account cartography completeness and correctness
- Overlook and strengthen Custodian and Nostro operations, ensuring efficient BAU performance and timely issue resolution.
- Ensure Nostro controls implementation across GBIS scope (GTPS, GLBA) with a target of 90% coverage by year-end.
- Identify risks across treasury processes and extend controls to high-risk and vulnerable areas.
- Develop and execute de-risking strategies, ensuring:
- Regulatory compliance
- Effective embedding into BAU activities
- Proactively establish controls to:
- Avoid treasury risks
- Reduce liquidity risk
- Ensure SOPs, mandates, and control documentation are:
- Fully defined for all processes
- Reviewed at regular intervals
- Maintained with strict version control
- Drive a “kill the root cause” culture, ensuring sustainable fixes rather than tactical workarounds.
- Stay aligned with industry best practices, continuously enhancing the control environment.
Ensure data storage, segregation, and availability for future analysis across Nostro and Custodian scopes.
Profile required
As a Lead Expert in Treasury Operations on Cash custody and nostro cash supervision
- Enable Operations teams to become self-sufficient in Treasury Controls reporting, including:
- Building the business case for new dashboards and automation.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on:
- Risk assessments
- Control effectiveness
- Exceptions and breaches
- Establish timely, accurate alert mechanisms for anomalies and breaches, with clear communication to management and stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, especially:
- Lead regular governance forums to review analysis, actions, and outcomes.
- Strong expertise in:
- Treasury Controls
- Custodian & Nostro operations
- Liquidity and operational risk management
- Proven experience in governance framework design and execution.
- Excellent data analysis, reporting, and dashboard conceptualization skills.
- Strong ownership and accountability mindset
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Structured problem-solving with focus on root cause elimination
