Lead Software Engineer- Devops
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand the company's needs and contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and automated solutions.
2. Infrastructure automation: Develop and maintain a robust infrastructure automation framework using modern technologies (such as Terraform, Ansible) to ensure efficient and repeatable deployment processes across various environments.
3 Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects, enabling rapid integration, testing, and deployment of software releases.
4. Monitoring and alerting: Set up and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify system issues, bottlenecks, and performance-related problems. Configure alerting mechanisms to promptly notify the team in case of any critical issues.
5. Deployments and release management: Manage the deployment and release lifecycle of applications, ensuring coordination between teams, adhering to best practices, and minimizing downtime during production deployment.
6. Security and compliance: Contribute to maintaining strong security practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Implement security measures to protect infrastructure and systems from potential threats.
7. Troubleshooting and incident response: Investigate and respond to production issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing necessary fixes and improvements.
8. Documentation and knowledge sharing: Create and maintain thorough documentation related to infrastructure, processes, and deployment procedures. Share knowledge and mentor other team members.
Profile required
- 7+ years of experience in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Extensive experience with data processing technologies such as Apache Spark.
- Hands-on experience with Hive and HDFS for data storage and management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and schedulers like Oozie or Airflow.
- Strong knowledge of data ingestion and transformation processes.
- Familiarity with big data ecosystems and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
