Job Title: Application and Platform Operations Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application and Platform Operations Engineer to ensure the operational excellence, security, and reliability of our business-critical applications and platforms. This role is responsible for monitoring application health, maintaining the BPM platform, and ensuring compliance with security and network standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Operation
* Ensure business continuity and optimal performance of applications.
* Monitor application health and performance, including:
* BPM logs and services.
* OCR queues, incoming documents, hotmailboxes, and hotfolders.
* APIs functionality.
* Manage application permissions and access control.
BPM Platform
* Keep systems current through regular hotfixes and annual major upgrades.
* Oversee deployments and software releases.
* Handle data retention policies, archiving, and GDPR compliance.
* Coordinate and test disaster recovery procedures.
* Maintain and support APIs.
* Support and manage BPM services and the associated portal.
Security / Network
* Manage FORAs (Firewall or Authorization Requests for Access).
* Renew and manage security certificates.
* Oversee virtual machine (VM) upgrades.
* Create and update ASA (Adaptive Security Appliance) and security documentation.
* Ensure compliance with security standards such as SBD and NIST.
* Support security assessments, penetration testing, and IGAD audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Proven experience with application and platform management (preferably BPM).
* Familiarity with IT security standards and auditing processes.
* Experience with APIs, VM management, and disaster recovery.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
