Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced datawarehouse engineer with strong skills on Datatstage. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data ingestion, data processing, and data management using Data warehousing /ETL projects on Data validations .

Knowledge on Datastage  & Teradata/Postgres development is a must to have.. You will be responsible Independently design components, develop code and test case scenarios by applying relevant software craftsmanship principles and meet the acceptance criteria using Datastage. In addition, you will work with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, and schedulers like CTRL-M, to automate data workflows.

Profile required

  •  7+ years of experience in DataStage and Teradata development within Data Warehousing projects, preferably in the Banking domain.

  • Proven leadership experience in Agile environments, actively driving Agile ceremonies and fostering team collaboration.
  • Strong expertise in Unix commands and scripting, with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
  • Extensive experience in Data Warehousing/ETL projects, including data governance and quality assurance.
  • Experience leading end-to-end project delivery, managing multiple individual contributors.
  • Proficient in Control-M for scheduling Unix jobs, with oversight of job scheduling strategies.
  • Advanced SQL skills with analytical expertise to identify data anomalies and lead resolution efforts.
  • Knowledge of Cloud tools like Snowflake is a plus.
  • Skilled in stakeholder communication, translating technical challenges and business requirements effectively between BAs, developers, and operations teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex business requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with all stakeholders including senior management.

Technical Skills Required

·       DB : TERADATA

·       ETL with devops environment : Datatsage

·       Source code : Git on github.

·       OS : Linux and good proficiency on shell scripting.

·       Methodology : Agile via Scrum/Kanban (tool Jira)



  • Good to have knowledge of Snowflake or cloud data platforms 
  • Good to have BI MicroStrategy knowledge – This is more relevant to PLR and not for EDC and CMW.

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of data warehousing components using DataStage, ensuring adherence to software craftsmanship and quality standards.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of projects, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Drive the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in an Agile framework, mentoring the team on best practices and Agile principles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other development teams to define and implement robust data pipelines and integrations.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, and operations, to ensure alignment on technical solutions and business goals.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Oversee production load management, incident resolution, and post-release support activities.
  • Ensure thorough release validations, metrics reporting, and defect management.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Act as a technical escalation point and mentor for junior and senior team members.
