Lead System Engineer - Azure/Citrix (L3)
Responsibilities
L3 Engineer is responsible for L3 level management of Azure Virtual Desktop Infra, Development, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, Ivanti User Workspace Manager, Windows Server, Incident tickets, Zabbix alerts, Queue Monitoring and Infra alerts. Engineer should be able to Perform and manage routine maintenance tasks on all Azure & Citrix services in accordance with best practice. Engineer should have good knowledge in scripting and should be able to automate reoccurring manual tasks. Engineer should be conducting and participating in continues improvement programs, Incident conf calls, Incident root cause analysis. He/She will be part of Oncall schedule which are rotational basis weekly.

• Design, Install, monitor, and provide support of all functions of Citrix Systems and required associated infrastructure.
• Maintenance and advance troubleshooting of Citrix Virtual Apps and desktops, XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, MCS, UPM, SF.
• Advance Knowledge and hands-on experience of Citrix farm management, Session management, printer management, Application publishing/ decommissioning in Citrix farm, Log monitoring/maintenance.
• Good knowledge on Windows Active Directory, Terminal Server (RDS), DNS, DHCP and Windows 10, 11, Windows server 2016, 2019,2022.
• Perform regular Citrix server monitoring, health checks, maintenance to ensure the environment is stable and available for users.
• Managing & Troubleshooting NetScaler Issue, Firmware upgrade, Certificate update & creating/managing Load balancing virtual servers.
• Good exposure on VMware/Nutanix/Hyper-V/ XenServer hypervisors, functionality, and integration with Citrix Infra.
• Evaluate, Manage, coordinate, implement Citrix environment deployments, upgrades, and patches on servers.
• Manage P0, P1 and P2 tickets autonomously and provide quick solution to incidents.
• Responsible for providing inputs and work on problem management to find root cause.
• Good Understanding in User profile management, Ivanti products and services.
• Experience in Citrix & Windows patch deployment.
• Understanding and usage of SCCM tool for deployment.
• Helping / Supporting L1/L2 team members to resolve user incidents and requests.
• Work on Incidents, Requests, Problems and Change management.
• Manage and make sure we archive SLAs.
• Conduct CIP plans to improve infrastructure stability and reduce incidents.
• Provide required inputs to stakeholders involved in case of critical incidents like outages.
• Raise, plan, write steps to implement changes.
• Ensure ITIL compliance for all incidents and service calls.
• Ensure KPI compliance for all incidents and service calls.
• Adhere to documented notification and escalation process.
• Communicate to the customer while responding to a case and after resolution of the case.
• Participate in regular reviews with the team leads.
• Create and update documentation.
• Good knowledge on supporting tools like SCOM, BEM, Zabbix, Director and other monitoring tools.
• Administration of Ivanti User Workspace Manager.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills; Ability to prioritize simultaneous high visibility customer and internal escalations.
• Engineer should have minimum knowledge in scripting and should be able to automate reoccurring manual tasks.
Involved in Public Cloud VDI Topics and Public Cloud Published Apps, DevOps Role will be as below:
• Code maintenance and evolution of infra as code.
• Manage terraform code which integrates the different infrastructures for Crisis virtual Desktop or Crisis critical published app)
• Make code and architecture evolutions (module enhancements, Azure behaviour change management, etc.)
• Maintain modules parameters
• Document code to allow its exploitation. (i.e., indication of how to specify the parameters…)
• Implement automation (auto build of vms, power management)
• To mid-term, develop a GUI to handle terraform parameter integration the easy way (as in mps or VDI creation tool for example)
• Take functional topics and see how to address them (as code or other ways) example: logging
