Lead System Engineer-Oracle SBC
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design: Define and implement SBC and ECB solutions for SIP trunking, voice routing, and interconnects with UC platforms (Microsoft Teams, Trading Telephony, etc.).
Configuration & Management: Deploy and maintain Oracle SBC/ECB appliances and virtual instances; manage SIP profiles, routing policies, codecs, and security settings.
Voice Integration: Enable Direct Routing/voice interconnect for Microsoft Teams, PBX systems, and carrier SIP trunks.
Security & Compliance: Implement TLS/SRTP, encryption, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance (E911).
Performance & Monitoring: Ensure QoS, monitor call quality, troubleshoot SIP signaling/media issues, and optimize SBC performance.
Automation: Develop scripts for provisioning, reporting, and configuration management.
Incident & Change Management: Lead root cause analysis, major incident resolution, and controlled change rollouts.
Documentation & Governance: Maintain HLD/LLD, SOPs, and compliance documentation; enforce voice governance standards.
Profile required
10+ years in voice engineering; 5+ years with Oracle SBC/ECB in enterprise or carrier environments.
Expertise in:
Oracle SBC/ECB configuration, HA clustering, and virtualization.
Hands on experience in Enterprise Operations Monitoring (EOM) tool
SIP protocol, signalling flows, codecs (G.711, G.729, Opus), and media handling.
Integration with UC platforms (Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Trading Telephony).
Security: TLS/SRTP, certificates, DoS protection, fraud prevention.
QoS, DSCP, NAT/firewall traversal, and network optimization for real-time media.
Strong troubleshooting skills using SIP traces, logs, and diagnostic tools.
Proficiency in automation scripting (Python, Shell, or similar).
Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise change management.
Preferred certifications: Oracle SBC Specialist, SIP/VoIP certifications, Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer.
Analytical & detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
