Responsibilities

Based on a diversified universal banking model, the Société Générale operates in Italy through different companies belonging to its three main core businesses: Retail Banking in France, International retail banking, financial services and insurance and Corporate and investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities services.

As a key pillar of the Société Générale Group’s universal banking model, SG CIB supports the economy by playing a key intermediary role, offering broad market access to issuers and smart investment solutions to investors. The service we bring to our corporate and financial institutions clients revolves around three main activities - investment banking, financing and markets - and our global franchises of equity derivatives and natural resources. In 1967, Société Générale founded the first location in Milan.

The Analyst will be part of Société Générale CIB M&A team based in Milan.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Building complex financial models and completing valuation, mergers and other analytical exercises
  • Drafting of presentations for M&A transactions or strategic client dialogue
  • Working closely with the rest of Team to create client deliverables and meet ad-hoc client requests
  • Closely collaborating with various industries, countries and other products’ colleagues during origination and execution stages
  • Perform industry and company research to support business development and on an ad-hoc basis

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
  • Prior work experience of Investment Banking at a recognized Investment Bank or advisory boutique

Language skills:

  • Native/advanced level of Italian
  • Proficiency in English

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Proficiency in MS office applications
  • Technically proficient in financial modeling (DCF, Multiples, Merger model, LBO model)
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • High level of accuracy and attention to details
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skils
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
