Middle Officer in Charge of Corporate Actions – M/F/D
Responsibilities
As a Middle Officer in Charge of Corporate Actions you will work within the Corporate Action team of Societe Generale Investment Banking, providing high value Asset Service to our internal partners and external clients (Front-Office, Back-Office, Risk Department, Finance Department, Market Activity Indicators Department, Information Systems Department, etc). Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
- Detecting and analyzing alerts on events (Corporate actions, coupon, maturity, migration, etc.),
- Calculating the impacts and results of events (reimbursement, payment flow, eligible position, etc.),
- Monitoring and collecting Front-Office's or Client's choices on events,
- Modeling events in information systems,
- Controlling the quality and completeness of the data recorded,
- Analyzing and correcting discrepancies reported by the Control Middle-Office and other stakeholders,
- Notifying stakeholders (customers, Front-Office, and Back-Office) of processed events,
- Participating in the department's cross-functional projects and tasks and in the production of risk indicators (KRI) or performance indicators (KPIs) of the team's activity,
- Participating in automation and continuous improvement projects,
- Participating in impact analyses in the context of the development of new activities.
Profile required
You will be most successful in the role with:
- Higher education in a field related to finance,
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a position related to Middle Office,
- Proficiency in English; French is an advantage,
- Practical knowledge of MS 365; experience or knowledge of VBA and/or Python is an advantage,
- Good knowledge of financial products and markets; knowledge of corporate actions and operation processes is an asset,
- Strong teamwork mindset and availability to provide support,
- Effectively prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines,
- High analytical skills with ability to analyze complex information,
- Client focus,
- Critical thinking to offer new ideas for improvement.
