Responsibilities
Providing legal advice for and ensuring the transaction management of matters in relation to:
OTC derivative trades and structured debt issuances on all underlyings including equities, commodities, fixed income and credit (for Asia Pacific - Ex Japan) for SG group;
Listed structured products (with a focus on HK and Singapore warrants); and Asset management activities of SG group and its clients, including documentation relating to private funds and ETFs.
The precise scope of work will be tailored to the successful candidate’s interests and experience.
Other tasks:
Providing pre-trade, execution and post-trade advice on legal and regulatory issues in connection with the above to Business and other teams/departments.
Providing innovative, commercially minded legal support to the development of new products, debt issuance, warrant programmes and asset management activities.
Participating in the development and implementation of strategic tactical tools; in particular automation projects for product documentation and processes.
Profile required
- Some years of experience in PQE. Private practice experience or previous experience in another financial institution preferred.
- Experience in structured note products, funds and/or derivatives.
- Commonwealth or Asian (Singapore or Hong Kong) qualification preferred.
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English. Chinese language skills an advantage.
- Actively contributes and collaborates effectively within the team. Motivated, responsible and able to work independently, while respecting reporting procedures.
