Responsibilities

  • Provide back-office oversight support covering trade settlement of the APAC markets
  • Manage pre-matching process and ensure all failed/aged trades are settled in a timely manner
  • Provide high service levels to clients and trading desk by addressing inquiries in a timely manner and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Contribute to projects / initiatives that increase efficiency gains across settlement and middle office processes for the APAC equity business and any cost saving initiatives.
  • Contribute to UAT testing that supports firmwide projects/initiatives, workflow enhancements and cost saving initiatives
  • Awareness of risk mitigation by following firmwide risk policies for operational / settlement risk and ensure controls are followed up and escalated where appropriate.
  • Report KRIs as part of the firmwide risk management framework for the APAC equity business
  • Manage trade reconciliation processes to identify cash/quantity breaks that impact settlement risk 

Profile required

  • Hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree
  • Possess basic equity product knowledge
  • Good command of IT skills including excel, VBA/ Macro and BI Solution (Power BI/ Tableau)
  • Good knowledge of Python/SQL
  • Experience in JIRA
  • Experience in cash equity agency business and understanding of its front to back trade flow

Department Description:

The Agency Middle Office team is responsible for providing business support to Cash/PT trading desks for the APAC equity business. We manage the front to back flow from trade execution to settlement, while supporting client activity from an operational perspective and maintaining stringent controls in daily trading activities.
