Project Portfolio Manager - M/F/D
Responsibilities
As a Project Portfolio Manager, you will play a key leadership role in aligning project execution with the organization’s strategic goals. This high-impact position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, optimize resource allocation, and enhance project delivery efficiency at scale.
In this role, you will act as a critical connector – overseeing prioritization, governance, and portfolio performance while facilitating clear communication between project managers, stakeholders, and executives. Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
- Collaboration with senior leadership to define portfolio objectives and priorities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and long-term goals;
- Evaluating and prioritizing projects based on resource availability, strategic value, and return on investment (ROI);
- Enforcing the project governance framework and providing support the project manager community regarding tools, methodologies, and best practices;
- Providing regular reporting on portfolio status, key risks, performance indicators, and opportunities for improvement;
- Identifying and mitigating risks at both the individual project and broader portfolio level;
- Proactively address emerging issues to maintain delivery momentum and minimize disruption;
- Serving as the key liaison between project managers, leadership teams, and other key stakeholders;
- Promoting alignment and transparency across departments through clear and effective communication;
- Contributing to the ongoing development of portfolio management tools and processes to enhance efficiency and impact.
Profile required
You will be best suited for this role if:
- You have at least 5 years of experience in project & portfolio management, ideally within a complex or regulated environment (e.g., financial services, banking, consulting), project management certification is an asset;
- You have good understanding of ker project portfolio management concepts (e.g.: resource allocation, time and capacity planning, prioritization framework);
- You have a strong command of MS Office, and you are familiar with portfolio management tools like Planisware, Microsoft Project, or similar;
- You are fluent in English; French B1 level;
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders;
- You are well organized and have an analytical mindset;
- You are adaptable and able to work effectively within a team.
