PXS (Pre-Trade, Execution Services) specialist - Associate/Vice President
Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible to communicate with clients to support the low latency platforms which are brought in by clients or we provide to clients
- Maintain and manage relationship with clients who are primarily hosted in co-location
- Provide liaise with vendors and Exchanges for problem resolution Level- 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Monitor health of systems including but not limited to exchange connectivity, hardware, risk limits, and other trading components such as e.g., packet capture.
- Manage hardware inventory, purchase, warranty, and support contracts
- Propose and develop new solutions to strengthen our control framework
- Maintain our applications following the SG standard by implementing proper change controls and incident management
- Estimate risks and opportunities in our day-to-day job and take initiatives to reduce the risks and improve our efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues
- Create and maintain documentation related to our operating process and procedures
- Liaise with local system vendors to support internal partners such as troubleshooting, security analysis etc.
- Weekend support as required when there is an exchange system upgrade, testing with clients, and post-check after major changes
- Ordering of trading logins, market data, infrastructure components from the exchanges
- Main contact for infrastructure issues and outage and liaise with the infra team, exchanges, and clients to resolve them

- CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
- Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Technical skills in UNIX, database, and scripting languages
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues efficiently
- Able to comfortably speak Japanese to the exchanges under emergency situations
Nice to have:
- Knowledge in TSE arrowhead, OSE J-Gate and understanding of the exchange pre-trade control
- Knowledge in sell side business such as client setup, demand, order flow etc.
- Knowledge of FPGA
Expected qualifications:
- A few years of experience in production, network support or related role
- A few years of Networking/Linux experience
- Academic background in technology, engineering, computer science or a related field

Department Description
A member of the “PXS – Prime Execution Service" within the GBTO department aims at supporting pre-trade systems (for internal and external clients) on the electronic trading solutions (Order Management Systems, Algo, Pre trade risk control & Execution Management Systems) that the "PXS" team implements and maintains for the SG's agency business along with our internal trading tools.
The "PXS" team is composed of cross-functional specialists across the APAC regions and is responsible for the whole application lifecycle (including but not limited to analysis, testing, deployment, maintenance and support).
By joining the “PXS” Agile team, you will closely work with the Prime business in a multi-cultural and dynamic environment, encouraging exploration of new technologies and ideas.
The Agile Feature team will primarily focus on Electronic Trading Systems (Cash Equities & Listed Derivatives) part of the Prime Service & Clearing activity where Societe Generale is one of the global leaders. This includes High touch, DMA, Algo and Sponsored DMA, FPGA access, with Low and Ultra Low latency Execution platforms.
