Relationship Manager – Payments and Cash Management (AVP/VP), Societe Generale India (Mumbai/Delhi)
Responsibilities
Job Summary:
To sell the Payment & Cash Management (PCM) services, to MNCs and Corporate clients of SG India domestically and internationally along with managing existing portfolio and developing new India based client relationships to increase NBI, fund flows and deposits. To actively cross-sell within the PCM international network and within the organization. At all times, candidate will have to deal with quantitative (NBI, number of transactions, deposits) as well as qualitative objectives (customer satisfaction, risk control).
Main Responsibilities:
• Market and deliver to all clients of the bank the best local & international cash management solutions, covering (but not limited to) Collections (Physical / Electronic and Cash), Payments (Physical / Electronic and Cash), PCM products like Short Term Loans & Deposits, Current and overdraft accounts, Domestic Guarantees, FX: A2 payments / remittances. SWIFT payments and reporting and cross sell of other GTB products.
• Grow the PCM business and NBI for the bank as well as achieve portfolio / client level profitability in line with the budgets
• Identify key Clients for Payments and Cash Management business by preparing a joint action plan with the GLBA RM’s and Global RMs (Corporate, MNC, FI and PF) (With both existing clients as well as new clients). Prepare client strategy documents including profitability analysis for on-boarding of new clients and review of existing clients
• Follow up with clients on a daily basis for regular term deposit & CASA balance mobilization and utilization of loan facilities with the client taking them to closure.
• Work on RFPs responses for MNC clients in coordination with product teams, GLBA, Global PCM Sales and Global RMs
• Share market intelligence with the product team for product development purposes.
• Work on Credit requests for Short Term loans and cross sell TRA products; coordinate for the GLBA and CPM for the credit approvals
• Liaise and work with other teams within the bank for client on-boarding, account / loan documentation, compliance etc.
• Work with Middle office and Implementation teams to ensure proper service levels are maintained.
• Product Training & Presentations for Internal as well as External Clients and Marketing materials for client pitch
• Cross sell - Look for cross sell opportunities within Cash Management as well as other
o businesses of MARK/GLBA/TRA etc.
o Work with PCM teams globally to cross sell the SG network
• Track the Client portfolio and provide MIS reports i.e. Dashboards, Analysis on the Payments and Cash Management activity
• Undertake ad hoc projects as requested by the line management including but not limited to launching new products and drafting proposals for their launch as required.
• Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures & controls and gain knowledge on SG related systems and processes
• Update self on the latest Regulatory guidelines impacting PCM business.
Profile required
Academic Background (degree and major): MBA / Postgraduate/ CAIIB
Relevant Working Experience in number of years:
- 12 – 15 years’ experience
- strong and proven experience in Transaction Banking (Trade Finance will be added advantage) covering mainly Short Term Lending and Deposit Products and Cash Management and Client Relationship Management
- A track record of major cash management deals with large Indian corporate companies
- Experience of managing MNC clients
