Responsibilities
Senior Algo Developer (Automatic Trading) (SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, New York, NY)
Develop, ensure baseline, and support low latency trading systems and related tools. Retrieve real-time market data to allow the algo to react to market price changes. Design software solutions to match requirements, and implement, test and deploy the software solutions within constraints. Take full ownership of algorithmic systems from inception to delivery. Develop the algorithmic trading systems from inception, requirements gathering, system design, software implementation, testing and delivery. Interface automatic trading strategies with other internal systems to provide Straight Through Processing (STP) to external clients. Work directly with traders to understand their needs and to implement their trading strategies. Analyze performance of end-to-end systems using tools such as profilers, log aggregators, network sniffers. Measure and analyze the performance of the trading systems and propose new ideas and execute these enhancements to improve the performance. Communicate and liaise with support team, infrastructure and market access development team to improve the trading systems. Adapt existing tools, used in other regions, to the US electronic business. Understand key industry trends in algo development and market microstructure. Maintain knowledge of the trading in financial markets to comprehend the market microstructure. Collaborate with other members of algo development team in Americas. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 245 Park Ave., New York, NY 10167 when not telecommuting. Salary: $131,997 - $270,000 per year.
Profile required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving software system development. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience working with traders on a trading desk as part of a global development and trading team developing algorithmic systems to manage a wide variety of electronic flows. 3 years of professional experience working on real time trading applications or exchange connectivity. 3 years of professional experience using C#, and real-time, low latency, high scale, high availability, multithreaded, distributed systems. 3 years of professional experience using object-oriented programming, design patterns and Agile methodologies. 3 years of professional experience using Windows for performance setting and testing and profiling. 3 years of professional experience working with front office personnel (including networking, systems, quality insurance, support, architects and other development teams). 1 year of professional experience using GITHUB. 1 year of professional experience using Scrum, Team City, and JIRA

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
