Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Operational Risks function within the BU/SU, the OSC leads and facilitates the OS onboarding, monitoring, and closing within market data specific external TP services . As such, s/he:

  • Implementation of decision, onboarding and monitoring processes;
  • Defines for the OS Manager the operational arrangements and good practices to monitor  
  • outsourced services;

  • Is the channel for RISQ/NFR (its branch head) for dissemination of information to BU/SU on this topic,  
  • particularly in the context of awareness-raising or training actions;

  • Assists the OS Manager and the project managers in charge of one or more outsourced services in assessing  
  • the risks associated to outsourcing these services (identification of risk experts, identification of risks during

  •                 the study of the project);

  • Reports to RISQ/NFR the consolidated view of the risks on the Essential services portfolio of its BU/SU;
  • Assists the project manager/OS Manager during the study phase;
  • Assists, forms if necessary, the OSM and ensures the completion of the follow-up. 

Profile required

Framework adherence and continuous Improvement

  • Supports the TPM function focused on adopting Third Party Risk management framework best practices.
  • Educates Stakeholders on policy, standards, procedures, practices regarding Third-Party Risk Management requirements.
  • Works with BU/SU’s to ensure requirements regarding material Outsourcing and Third parties are met.
  • Works with BU/SU’s to ensure appropriate controls are in place and are effective for Material Outsourcing and Third-Party arrangements.
  • Act as MSA/CSA/CSLA advisory.
  • Support the OSC run function as required.

 

Strategy, Projects, and Optimization:

·       Support the evolvement of TPRM tools and technologies that enhance risk management capabilities and operational efficiency in line with group strategy.

·       Continuously improve third-party risk management processes, leveraging automation (where feasible and simplifications to enhance risk visibility and decision-making.

·       Drive local projects and support global projects relating to TPM objectives.

·       Integrate insights from industry benchmarks and peer organisations to continuously enhance the TPRM strategy.

 

Governance, Reporting and Control

·       Supports the creation and animation of TPRM transversal governance committees for Paris, SGIL and SGLB (SMC), Asia and contributes to local committees and global risk committees as required.

  • Support global effort to develop enhanced dashboarding to facilitate a continuous monitoring of third-party risks, ensuring timely identification of emerging risks and implementation of appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure sufficient controls are in place to follow mitigating actions and issues.

 

Regulation and Change

  • Act as the Third-Party subject matter expert on relevant projects, remediation activities and business needs.
  • Drive change and challenge existing process for improvement.
  • Support training and awareness on SG’s OS & TPRM Framework to further force accountability within the respective teams.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Regularly engage with second- and third-line partners to ensure regulatory compliance and proactive risk management practices.
  • Maintain strong engagement and identify synergies with wider LoD1 functions (Sourcing, ISR, RCP, GRC, PRS etc)
  • Foster close working relationships with wider teams to maximise knowledge and avoid working in silos when there is commonalities in topics (i.e. Op Res)
  • Maintain strong global engagement and project contribution.

·       When delegated, engage in industry forums and partnerships to stay informed on the latest trends, to support peer benchmarking and best practices.

Data Analysis & Reporting and Technical Consulting:

  • Create advanced data models using Excel with proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques and Macro
  • Build and automate reports using Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  •  Analyse large datasets and provide insights to business users
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
