Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Controls management teams within GSC CCR oversee the daily Regulatory, cash and securities breaks and must ensure the fast and accurate correction of identified breaks, relying on appropriate teams: Production, GPM, internal stakeholders.

Breaks Reconciliation:

1.       Analyze and appropriate action to be taken to resolve the breaks.

2.       Perform the cash break reconciliation using the tools (Platon, SRG, GDS, NXG.)

3.       Analyze the securities break using the custodian data and colline data to identify the breaks for different ISIN’s.

4.       Actively participate to the improvement of our processes, ensuring compliance with our internal procedure and Regulators.

5.       Ensure there are no open aged breaks. If at all there are any, ensure we are chasing the relevant teams and close those without any delays/escalations.

6.       Ensure all reports are accurate and published on time according to cut off.

7.       Quartz posting for the Interco movements with proper approver from the process manager.

8.       Posting Mamout entry if we have any Fee cut while receiving money. Approver from Collateral manager is mandatory for posting Mamout entries for any Fee Cuts.

9.       Follow up with the ABP Breaches to not exceed more than 3 days.

10.   Save the Dispute sample for black or red items.

11.   Notify the production manager if the margin call is not yet issued for the IM.

12.   Ensure to analyze the Regulatory breaches, identify the root cause and have it resolved by working with various teams like Nego, Galaxy and Legal...

13.   Participate to the production of KPI/KRI indicators,

14.   Report and escalate any incident / alert to the management in a timely manner.

Control’s responsibilities:

15.   Notify the collateral managers on the Cash fails for the previous COB from the Clients within the Current day margin call issue notice.

16.   Notify the collateral managers with the detailed report of the breaks incurred, so that they can able to fix the break.

17.   Perform the inventory matching and accounting matching if we have any breaks. To ensure the AMER Bookings is matched with AMER Clients, if not, it must be notified to the Treasury team to have them amended to the right funds.

18.   To ensure BAU are being performed in accordance with the SOP & no deviations.

19.   Ensure all the SLAs are met, including the mailbox management.

20.   Demonstrate a high level of accuracy & avoid repetitions by working with your direct manager and ensuring smooth flow of BAU.

21.   Ensure the KPI/KRI is regularly updated to assist your manager in publishing the same to rest of the stake holders.

22.   To aim at working independently on the process.

23.   Reporting of any aged breaks immediately to the reporting Manager.

24.   Ensure any new additions to the process are communicated to your direct Manager and SOP is updated accordingly.

25.   The incumbent to participate in all team meetings, department meetings and town hall, when invited and contribute to the meetings constructively.

Other responsibilities:

Ø  Participation in WB on a regular basis with necessary contribution towards the discussions.

Ø  Participation in the PSS and make contribution and contribute in resolving the problems at hand.  Sometimes the incumbent is required to take charge of leading the PSS too. 

Ø  Work closely with the stakeholders for effective resolution of breaks (Cash, Securities, unmatched, ratings or eligible Asset. etc.)

Ø  Escalate and report client incidents immediately to your reporting Manager and log onto Trouble tracker

Ø  Attend the Sessions organized on the Operational risk matters in consultation of your direct Manager.

Ø  Ensure high risk items / situations are escalated to supervisors in timely fashion. Ensure all risk incidents are escalated to reporting / functional line manager in a timely fashion and are tracked till resolution.

Ø  Assist team to ensure smooth functioning of the process by ensuring all day-to-day tasks are completed by the agreed deadlines, error free processing and accuracy by arriving at speedy and proper resolution of the escalations.

Ø  Analyze and understand all the scope of activities managed. Ensure the SLAs / thresholds on the respective activities, breaks are adhered to all times and followed up effectively for

Ø  Ensure daily checklists, Controls are followed and effectively utilized.

Ø  Effective mailbox management ensure all the queries received from the internal/external clients are responded.

The Role is highly transversal and is a real opportunity to work on complex topics (valuation, OTC products, risk, Legal, IT, Regulation) with a lot of interactions with on-shore / off-shore business partners (Front/Middle Offices, GPM, Nego, galaxy and Legal.)

 

Internal & External interactions

 

Internal: CCR On-shore teams WW, FO, GPM, NEGO, OPER BL, ITEC, Legal, RISQ, etc.

External: Custodian portals. (BONY, UMB.)

 

Expected Profile & Skills

 

·         Good understanding of Collateral business and regulations

·         Excellent knowledge on OTC derivatives products

·         Excellent analytical skills

·         Good communication skills (lot of interactions with Custodians, onshore, business partners)

·         Autonomy, pro-activity

·         Good management of priority

·         Capacity to work in transversal and complex environment

Profile required

Experience : 1-5yrs

Knowledge and analytical skills in areas of Capital market operations and Derivatives

Relevant experience within the Capital Markets practice, preferably Collateral Operations.

Good Oral and written communication with Clients and Regions.
