Responsibilities

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

The individual will be responsible to provide support and assisting to credit analysts of CRE FIG (Credit Management – Financial Institutional Group) having the portfolio of FIG - Banks, Brokers, MDBs, FMI and SWFs. Day to day responsibilities include:

·         Assisting in upgrading the internal data quality management for Banks portfolio primarily assisting in the remediation of internal groupings and setups while liaising with data management and onboarding teams. 

·         Possibility to do a prescreening / portfolio-level review of material credit matters as seen through risk metrics notably prior to annual review (alert on exposure without ratings, overshoots etc.)

·         Assist in preparation of the credit’s portfolio analysis in the framework of global annual reviews to be prepared in coordination with the CRE FIG teams in Paris by collecting information from analyst / front office/business lines/ RMs to ensure timely closure of files and renewal of credit lines Capacity to challenge business lines on their limits (renew as is, limit increase…) and legal docs Verify if financials for all legal entities are available and request them from our information center if needed in support of the analyst work.

·         Input of credit requests from the deal flow and information in our various systems. When appropriate challenge the business line’s request in terms of the trade details provided and the rationale for the requested trade.

·         Notify/report post approvals from credit teams both for annual reviews of files and deal flow.

·         Source information from various internal and external systems/tools as requested by the CRE/FIG analysts.

·         Provide the necessary support to the teams to ensure a smooth operation within CRE.

·         Follow up on actions to be performed by the credit teams.

·         Communicate and train on system/procedural changes.

·         Prepare various reports for portfolio monitoring (expired files, KPI monitoring) etc.

·         Assist CRE/FIG Management in various ad-hoc projects within the department: portfolio analytics, setup of reporting dashboards, other reporting etc.

·         Follow-up of the implementation of the new credit tool with the inclusion of banks

·         Possibility to do some light credit review in support of credit analysts.

Profile required

COMPETENCIES

•                     Ability to organize time and manage deliverables to deadlines under pressure.

•                     Ability to identify and accommodate shifting priorities with little notice.

•                     Acquire ability to complete work with minimal or no supervision with two other colleagues in Paris.

•                     Strong communication skills and ability to interact with banking professionals at all levels.

•                     Quick learner with ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.

•                     Ability to work in a team environment, interfacing with team members, front office bankers and salespersons, risk team, and clients.

•                     Ability to investigate/research/synthesize data and make appropriate conclusions as to what is causing the observed result(s).

TECHNICAL SKILLS

•                     Proficiency using MS Office for data and reporting requirements.

•                     Advanced Excel skills, such as macros and pivot tables; more generally proficiency to explore large databases and to quickly ramp up on new IT ecosystems.

•                     Proficiency in VBA, Power BI is an advantage

•                     Experience in Credit Administration / Middle Office functions is an advantage.

•                     Knowledge of third-party information sources like Bloomberg, S&P, SNL etc. is an advantage.

•                     Good understanding of lending terminology, commercial & investment banking products, derivatives knowledge, legal documentation and good knowledge of finance and accounting fundamentals.

•                     Ability to learn and utilize SG systems.


PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience in large international bank or similar financial services organization

•                     Analyst – Credit Admin  (2+ years of relevant experience)

•                     Sr. Analyst – Credit Admin  (4+ years of relevant experience)
