Responsibilities

  • PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:


  • Trade Support ’s mission is to ensure all new trades and life cycle events are correctly reflected  in the relevant information systems / database:

  • for Front Office to have a clear and accurate view of their positions and risks,
  • for Operations to ensure smooth settlement for all trades,
  • for Finance to compute economic and accounting PnL in due time.

  • As the first link in the Operations chain, Trade Support is also the first level of control for the business

  • MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Duties
  • Product scope: Vanilla Equity Derivatives Products (Options, Futures, Variance Swaps, Volatility Swaps, Equity Linked Swaps…)
  • Ensure all the bookings are properly booked in Front Office database
  • Improve/control quality of database inputs
  • Ensure booking timeliness; provide justifications for any late bookings and amendments
  • Streamline booking workflow through automation and process review
  • Contribute to defining specifications and performing UAT for new information systems or booking scheme
  • Write down / update procedures linked to sensitive processes and controls
  • Assist Front Office on their specific requests with effective and innovative solutions
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the smoothness of the operational flow
  • React in a timely manner to incidents and develop action plan for the long term
  • Work closely with other teams (Traders, Engineers, Sales, Other Middle Offices, Risk teams, Back Offices, IT) in different regions (Asia, Europe, America) to deliver a seamless client experience
  • Participate in projects to support the new business activities

Profile required

KEY SKILL AREAS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of processor/senior processor experience in a high volume, exceptions/manual and time bounded processing.
  • A sound knowledge of Equity derivative products like Options, EQ Swaps, Variance, Dividend etc.
  • Sound knowledge on trade matching, trade validations and investigation process
  • Competency in using multiple applications to process/validate deals
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and various stakeholders & cross impact at each stage.
  • Familiar with a variety of common desktop applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Word, outlook and Internet browsers.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Keen and quick to learn, inquisitive nature, meticulous, motivated individual

  • Knowledge of VBA / Python programming is an advantage
