Senior Auditor - Sanctions and Embargos
Responsibilities
"-Execute risk assessment and audits in the area of Sanctions and Embargos over business units, activities and departments across SG globally.
-Contributes to execution of audits (Standalone/Global) as per Audit Plan and be involved in issue and recommendation drafting and discussion.
-Contributes to the shared services missions and other activities assigned by the regional Audit teams as required.
-Follow-up on recommendations under his/her responsibility, regularly providing necessary updates, and ensure timely closure and escalation of any blocking points.
-Active participation in annual risk assessment exercise and continuous audit monitoring meetings where required.
-Producing good quality documentation on audits and recommendation tracking.
-Guiding and coaching audit trainees and colleagues on audit assignments."
Responsible for follow-up audit recommendations- Aptitude for learning Societe Generale (SG) products and their related support functions
- Represent the Global Internal Audit department within the India office by developing key stakeholder relationships and taking responsibility for local Board liaison.
- Work autonomously to deliver a suite of planned audits, including preparation of audit scope coverage and work papers, and managing the completion of the audit within the given time frame.
- Gain exposure to a number of different financial services business channels and jurisdictions, working with the regional Audit teams to execute and/or lead global assignments as required.
- Prepare audit reports and liaise with department heads to agree areas in need of improvement and assist in the development of a management action plan."
Profile required
- Good understanding of and ability to clearly articulate risks, controls and potential gaps.
- Basic understanding of Banking operations, corporate functions (industry agnostic)and associated risks and controls.
- Good knowledge of compliance functions and activities and banking operations with sanctions and embargos risks, such as alert management.
- Good understanding of of compliance and regulatory norms applicable to banking industry.
- Good understanding of systems relating to sanctions and embargos controls such as Fircosoft.
- Good understanding of Audit lifecycle from planning to closure of recommendations. Prior experience of performing controls testing and working with fair amount of autonomy.
- Good understanding of risk based audit methodology, risk assessment and audit planning.
- Produce good quality statement of findings and ability to synthesize clear and concise thematic opinions.
- Ability to work on multi location / global audits with large and diverse teams.
- Understanding /exposure on quality initiatives within audit function.
- Fluent Command over English language (oral as well as written)
- Ability and willingness to travel on audit assignment to cover global businesses and entities.
