Responsibilities

Senior Business Analyst (Data Domain Lead) (SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, New York,
NY)
Define and Govern Data Management practice to align with governance and compliance frameworks
including BCBS 239 and GDPR. Define global Data Management (DM) policies and procedures. Ensure
consistency between regional and global policies. Collaborate with the Data Governance & Standards
Officer for updates to standards, policy and procedures. Provide oversight enabling Critical Data Elements
(CDEs) that are accurate, complete, timely and adaptable to be fit for purpose. Use strong communication
skills (written and verbal) to serve as single point of contact for Americas Data Management Office and
implement new regulatory changes or requirements with respect to Data Governance to the following
Domains: Investment Banking Operations, KYC and Market/Product Referential. Act as Data Domain Lead
and represent Regional Data Management Office (RDMO). Lead CDE management to ensure Domains are
executing recertification of Business Metadata, Data Lineage and Data Quality Scorecards. Collaborate
with technology partners to implement Data Strategy and remediation. Participate in Metadata Management
Global Data Domain including assessing, identifying, and onboarding CDEs, documenting accurate
business metadata, and identifying Golden source for each CDE. Lead the data consumer in the
documentation of Data Lineage including conducting workshop with Data Steward, Consumer, and ITEC to
validate the Data Lineage, approve the annual Re-certification of Data Lineage, and identify manual process
and controls and raise anomalies to automate the same. Collaborate with data quality team and domain
stakeholders to build necessary automated data controls at both producer and consumer application to
ensure the CDE is fit for its consumption. Participate in Data Quality management including liaising with
DDO/DS to escalate priority Data Quality issues, lead the data consumers in the documentation of Data
Quality, lead remediation efforts with specific Business Lines, review and approve the DQ Scorecard
submitted by Data Steward and Consumer, and lead the Data Steward and Consumer in building DQ rules
into IDQ framework. Educate the DDO/DS in new roles and responsibilities involving assessing data quality,
identifying new business line/consumption point, identifying CDE and prioritizing for On-boarding,
documenting data lineage and controls, and participating in business data modeling and implementing
reporting best practices. Train Data domain steward/assistants on various data management topics such
as Metadata, Data Lineage, and data Quality. Maintain open communication with the domain stakeholder
(Data steward/Domain Owner) addressing queries and providing guidance on data management practices.
Publish key performance indicators and metrics to demonstrate the progress and measure the effectiveness
of data management initiative. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Must report to SG Americas
Operational Services, LLC, 245 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10167 office when not telecommuting. Salary:
$154,400 - $250,000 per year.

Profile required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors’ Degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Information
Technology, Data Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Business
Analyst, Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title involving Data Management or Data Governance in
investment banking.
Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience in defining Metadata, Quality
and Lineage for critical data elements; 3 years of professional experience in partnering with business and
technology teams to identify data flows and golden sources and to implement improved lineage of critical
data elements; 3 years of professional experience in identifying gaps in data flow of manual processes and
controls; 3 years of professional experience in managing collaboration with technology, operations, and
cross-organizational control functions; 3 years of professional experience in working with Liquidity,
Accounting, General Ledger, and Regulatory Reporting; 3 years of professional experience in performing Project management of Data Quality remediations; and 3 years of professional experience in data
governance and compliance framework including BCBS 239 and GDPR

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
