Société Générale Global Solution Center Poland is a new, growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch, and we are currently looking for a Senior Business Continuity Specialist.

Your future scope of responsibility will cover:
- Establish and maintain the Business Continuity framework for GBTO in London
- Co-ordinate and support departments in the delivery of their business continuity plans (e.g. user tests and exercises, plan templates)
- Manage dedicated internal and third-party business recovery facilities
- Develop and maintain the crisis management framework and arrangements including exercises
- Seek opportunities to improve, enhance or innovate the BCM framework and response
- Horizon scanning for existing, new or emerging threats and amending, updating or developing plans accordingly
- Proactively mitigate potential risks, ensuring that they act within the best interest of the Company and its clients
- Engage and work in collaboration with colleagues to reach a common goal to find solutions, ensuring adherence to Société Générale policies and procedures
- Recognise established policies and resolve and propose solutions to adapt situations or ideas for improvement
- Show pro-activity in the development of professional competences, deliverables and contributions to compliment needs and goals of the Company
- Raise awareness and foster Business Continuity Management culture within GBTO
- Liaise with essential third-party suppliers, including offshored and outsourced, for assessment of their business continuity plans
- Co-ordinate with the Information Technology areas to support the execution of the IT DR strategy and testing
- Manage the performance of team/reports, if applicable, ensuring staff have clear pre-set objectives and get regular feedback on their performance
- Provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team if and as applicable, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation and morale
Profile required
You will be best suited for this role if:
- Minimum 5-6 years of experience within business continuity area
- Excellent interpersonal skills; to be able to communicate convincingly at all levels with the key decision makers in the relevant business lines and elsewhere within the investment bank
- Proficiency in English
- Strong written documentation abilities
- Coordination skills (across and between the support functions and the business)
- Understanding of Investment Banking market activities
- Compliant with confidentiality requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for following matters through to completion
- Solution-focused, service-oriented and proactive
- Team player, enjoy sharing information
- Have a strong risk culture and reliable professional conduct
- Openness to work in UK working hours and sometimes be on call 24/7
