Responsibilities

As a Senior EM FX and Rates Strategist at Société Générale, you will deliver high-quality, research-driven foreign exchange and rates markets insights and trade ideas focused on emerging markets. Your expertise in macroeconomic analysis, geopolitical risk, and currency and rates markets will support our commitment to providing innovative, client-centric solutions while upholding the bank’s values of responsibility, innovation, and team spirit. You will collaborate across global teams to enhance SG’s market positioning and foster long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and communicate robust EM rates and FX strategies and trade ideas, grounded in comprehensive macroeconomic, political, and market research across emerging markets. Monitor and analyze central bank policies, geopolitical events, and economic indicators to assess impacts on EM currencies and rates markets. Collaborate closely with sales, trading, and research teams to integrate FX strategy into client solutions and trading execution. Produce clear, timely market commentary, strategy reports, and presentations tailored to both internal stakeholders and external clients. Contribute to the development and refinement of quantitative models and scenario analyses to support EM rates and FX forecasting. Represent Société Générale as an expert in emerging markets in client meetings, industry forums, and media engagements, reinforcing the bank’s thought leadership.

Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Global Markets Division brings together the Research, Investment and Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Clearing, Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income, Futures and Currencies & Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. The business uses an advisory and innovation mindset, focused on client needs, with a global leader in financial markets engineering. Global Markets is a leading player in derivatives, with unrivaled over the counter and listed derivatives expertise, as well as cross-asset and economic research.  Our prime services' offering is a unique combination of execution, clearing, custody and financing services.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Master’s degree in economics, Finance, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in FX and rates strategy, macroeconomic research, or related fields with a focus on emerging markets. Deep knowledge of emerging market economies, political risk factors, and regulatory environments. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural, and matrixed organization. COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
