Responsibilities

Senior Financing Specialist (SG Americas Securities LLC, New York, NY) 

Execute syndicated loan and high yield bond mandates for corporate and private equity clients including preparing marketing materials such as Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and Lender Presentations (LPs), and interacting with debt investors. 20% Actively contribute to the origination of leveraged loan and highyield bond opportunities by collaborating directly with coverage team counterparts to engage clients. 15% Assist in structuring transactions, including determining the appropriate terms, covenants, and pricing to align with market conditions and client requirements. 15% Prepare detailed underwriting requests for loan and high yield bond bridge financings and act as the point person to present deals to internal credit committee for approval. 15%Collaborate with sales and trading desks to identify, track, and analyze the investor base for leveraged loans and high yield bonds, including domestic and foreign banks, institutional lenders such as CLOs, loan mutual funds, BDCs, hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, and dedicated high yield investors. 15% Monitor all relevant debt issuances and maintain a comprehensive library of market benchmarks for leveraged loans and high yield bonds. 10% Regular interactions with both leveraged loan and high yield bond investors to gauge investor sentiment and market appetite. 10% Requires up to 15% of domestic travel for client meetings and diligence related trips. Salary: $150,000 - $330,000 per year.

Profile required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s Degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, or any occupation, job title, position involving leveraged finance, capital markets, investment banking, financial accounting, & corporate finance at a global financial institution. Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience communicating complex financial concepts through verbal presentations and written documentation to both internal and external stakeholders; 3 years of professional experience performing financial statement analysis and corporate credit analysis, including evaluating leverage metrics, cash flow coverage, and other key financial ratios, to support underwriting decisions; 3 years of professional experience working with financial and capital market concepts to conduct investment banking and advisory functions; 3 years of professional experience executing financial transactions including commercial proposals, capital structuring, due diligence, credit agreements, term sheets, and commitment letters; 3 years of professional experience preparing transaction marketing materials including lender presentations, offering memoranda, and pitch books; 3 years of professional experience utilizing market data platforms to analyze market conditions and investor trends; and 3 years of professional experience interacting with internal stakeholders (including risk, coverage, and trading) and external clients or investors in connection with financing transactions.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
