Responsibilities:
The Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for the delivery of the Human Capital Management strategy across the different business lines.
You will operate as a Senior Regional HRBP and will directly provide proactive support, coaching and strategic advice to members of the SG Canada Executive Committee to elaborate efficient business strategies.
You will be reporting locally to the SG Canada Head of Human Resources based in Montreal and regionally to the SG AMER Head of Career Advisory based in New York. This role will oversee and co-manage the functions within the Career Advisory team in Canada.
As part of the role, you will:
Oversee Career Management and Advisory for the Canada population to coordinate and partner with the Regional Management.
Manage all Life-Cycle activities for your perimeter which includes conducting regular career interviews with the employees, identifying priorities, advising employees and manager and supporting the mobility of international talents
Advise managers on the forward-looking management of jobs and skills to meet the company's needs, you contribute to the development of employees' skills and their employability and ensure they remain up to date in regards to available training offering.
Contribute to the formalization of succession plans for key positions, identify high potentials and ensure that they have a personal and formalized development plan with their managers.
Work closely with our Compensation team and define the appropriate compensation packages during recruitment and mobility. Support the annual compensation review and act as an advisor to ensure the pay equity within the workplace and the alignment with our Group rules.
Act as a primary sponsor of the recruitment efforts and advise manager in their plan/need assessment when evaluation growth/structural changes. Support the recruitment team and the implementation of the recruitment strategy, defining appropriate timelines, targeted profiles, and recruitment channels.
Coordinate Employee Relations topics such as breach of policy, disciplinary and harassment cases through coordination with the Regional ER Manager and Employment Attorneys.

Skills and Qualifications:
Must Have:
Relevant experience as HRBP and Manager
Experience with strategic business conversations with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders
Proven experience in the financial services industry
Good knowledge of labour laws (federal and provincial)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint
Fluent in both English and French
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Management or related field
Competencies:
Ability to work independently, be flexible in a fluid working environment and use sound judgment to provide business advisory and solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to effectively interact, influence, and present to varying levels of SG leadership

Solutions-driven and innovative mindset to actively drive continuous improvement to processes and programs
LANGUAGE:
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
