Role Overview
As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance standards, and operational excellence. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks and budgets, and drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic priorities
- Define project scope, objectives, roadmap, and delivery strategy in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure timely, cost-efficient, and high-quality delivery of projects
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop detailed project plans including work breakdown structures, timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates
- Coordinate technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders across multiple locations (e.g., RO, IN, Paris)
- Manage backlog prioritization, requirements clarification, and delivery alignment
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Engage with senior stakeholders and executives, ensuring clear communication and expectation management
- Provide regular status updates, reports, and project analyses to support decision-making
- Organize and lead governance forums (Steering Committees, Operational Committees, Scrum ceremonies)
Risk, Budget & Governance Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and regulatory standards
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Facilitate collaboration between technical teams, business units, and external partners
- Align diverse stakeholders towards shared project outcomes
- Ensure consistency of processes, tools, and deliverables across teams
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure quality of deliverables and adherence to standards and best practices
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency enhancements
Documentation & Reporting
- Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation (business requirements, process maps, governance materials, forecasts)
- Track and report project progress, milestones, and KPIs
Profile required
- Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Project Management / Business Analysis
- Proven experience delivering complex international IT projects, ideally in banking or financial services
- Strong knowledge of project and process management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, PMI, Prince2, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma)
- Solid understanding of IT systems, applications, and support processes
