Responsibilities

  • Work integrated in an agile organized team to deliver support and projects on our Electronic market making servers
  • Follow up on Clients requests and incidents. Work with them as a business partner in total transparency
  • Propose innovative and industrial solutions to automatize your repetitive tasks and improve team’s efficiency
  • Participate in the common automation effort by collaborating actively with the various feature teams
  • Manage the activity based on ITIL Framework (Change management, Incident/Request management)
  • Onboard the teams’ routine and participate in support shifts and overtime operations. Most of the electronic market making maintenance must be done outside of business hours but it’s a team effort
  • Work with the Global electronic market making support team to align to the standards and contribute with your expertise.

Areas of development

  • Get familiar with our High frequency trading configurations and specific
  • Work on cutting edge technologies and bring your expertise to improve our environment and performances
  • Scrum Method is at the heart of our team’s organization, get onboarded and learn about it.
  • Get involved with API development for the automation of our IT operations, Python is required.
  • Collaborate in the development of the products of our feature teams. Bring your point of view on the features.
  • Work on a 3200+ server scope (which includes the 800 mentioned).
  • Work in an international group 

Profile required

Experience Needed:

  • Knowledge on Linux systems performance tuning
  • Knowledge on High performance best practices
  • Management of Linux servers using Puppet and Ansible.
  • Strong scripting capabilities (Python preferred)

Excellent technical skills on the following technologies:

  • Linux Server Operating Systems RHEL        
  • Dev (Python/Perl/Git/Bash)                
  • Volume manager and LVM                
  • Puppet
  • Ansible                

Proficient in:

  • HP / DELL x86 Hardware
  • Low latency networking and troubleshooting (10GB / Multicast)
  • TCP/IP protocol suite and its utilities (LDAP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, and NFS, etc.)
  • NetBackup or other enterprise backup platforms
  • SAN and FC Storage and NFS

Desired / Plus:

  • Redhat Satellite
  • Redhat IDM
  • ElasticSearch / Kibana / Logstach
  • Software Factory (e.g. Jenkins) and Continous Delivery
  • Contribution on Open Source Github project
  • Openstack

Competencies:

  • Be able to conduct system performance evaluation and tunning
  • Client focused, be trustworthy and provide an excellent customer service. Be Flexible and able to work with developers and applicative teams
  • Collaborate, and bring in your creativity to deliver projects that will require interacting across different groups
  • Efficient on High Availability environments and DR scenario design, implementation and testing
  • Effective on automation and orchestration (Scripting Python / Puppet)
  • Understanding of backup technologies

Schedule:

  • You will need to work from either our New York or New Jersey office on a hyrid model
  • You should be available to cover out of business hours operations and onboard the On-call

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
