About the Team
Bernstein Société Generale Group is the Joint Venture (JV) established between Société Generale (SG) and Alliance Bernstein to provide high quality independent research in equity and cash equity execution services. Bernstein Autonomous LLP (BA LLP) is the UK Operating Company and employing entity for the JV.
Members of the Bernstein’ European Corporate & Investor Access team collaborate with local and global partners in research, sales, specialist sales, origination and banking to organize a range of high-quality meetings and events and deliver a full suite of logistics services for the firm’s internal and external clients.
The team is split across London and Paris, and everyone reports into both co-Heads: One based in London and one based in Paris.
Summary of Key Purposes of the Role
A person in this role would be responsible for executing all aspects of European event logistics for (including but not limited to) non-deal roadshows, reverse roadshows, field trips, expert events, conferences, summits, thematic days, sales briefings, ad-hoc meetings, 1-off projects, as well research marketing trips, as required.
The job includes (but is not limited to) sourcing venues, liaising with vendors, working with the in-house security, catering and AV/Tech teams, arranging ground transportation, printing, processing invoices and other event-related admin and record keeping.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with partners in research, sales, specialist sales, origination and banking to determine scope of support required for delivery of corporate and investor access event types, as mentioned above, and execute against that.
· Work with research, sales and other corporate and investor access partners in planning, managing and fully executing analyst marketing events.
· Provide administrative support including travel recommendations, travel bookings, processing of expenses, maintaining event records, and other admin and/or ad-hoc tasks.
· Develop and maintain detailed event timelines, budgets, and schedules ensuring all deadlines are met and expenses are managed efficiently.
· Ensure all logistics are precise, efficient and make the best use of time.
· Organize the creation of event materials, including presentation printing and schedule distribution.
· Assist with conference and summit execution and provide onsite support at events.
· Expertly navigate internal and external systems used to log all activity, run data and produce various reports. This also applies to systems used to facilitate virtual client engagement such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
· Adhere to the processes within the team on all products to ensure seamless execution and the ability to ‘cover’ holidays and absence across the team.
· Assist with training less experienced or newly joined members of the team and help implementing “best practice” across the board.
Profile required
· 10+ years of experience in corporate access execution, roadshow management, or related roles in a fast-paced investment banking environment.
· Ability to take a full and complete ownership of multiple, often complex projects with closely competing deadlines from start to finish.
· Capability to work well independently with minimal supervision, as well as closely and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Great time management skills and competence in juggling several concurrent projects.
· Dexterity to judge the scope and level of urgency and prioritise tasks appropriately.
· Flexibility in taking on additional workload, as it becomes necessary, and being comfortable with ad-hoc demands on a short notice.
· Being able to function productively in a fast-paced environment and navigate ambiguity with tact and diplomacy.
· Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
· Good understanding of the broader corporate access and investment banking business.
· Motivated self-started with a desire to exceed expectations and “go the extra mile” to cover client needs or different time zones, if necessary.
· Excellent command of English (both oral and written).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
