Responsibilities

As part of the re-organization, this role will be part of the new department responsible for defining the GLBA transformation strategy & programs and report directly to the Head of Products for this unit.

The Product Owner (PO) represents, in a feature team (or two), the voice of the customer and the one of all the stakeholders (including the other POs). As a feature team member, one participates to the teams’ ceremonies (and cross-team).

- Is responsible for supporting the business line’s strategy defined by the "product management" (ie: sponsors, experts or Loan Factory Exco members)

- Facilitates to split EPICs into features and participates, with the members of the feature team, in the features’ split into stories

- Prioritizes the stories with the team members according to the roadmap and the objectives of the conurbation.

- Arbitrates the business needs to deliver the maximum of business value. If necessary, its backlog is refined and aligned with the backlogs of other feature teams in the same value chain

- Works with ARC to understand and prioritize technical features and stories in line with the user needs. Based on demos and acceptance criteria, he accepts (with the feedback from key users) stories as completed.

Profile required

ACTIVITIES :

Consolidates the voice of the customer by liaising regularly with all stakeholders

   On the business side with the sponsor, key users, product management and other POs

   Technically, understands technical constraints and innovation points

   As customers or users benefit from the value, the PO organizes regular feedback sessions to collect their opinions and check the impact of the innovation

   He can participate in certain ceremonies to follow up on innovation opportunities.

   He must make sure to compare the functional process before and after each feature

   He must plan and coordinate change management regarding the client

   Levers: backlog refinement, key user onboarding (demo)

Work with product management to understand and finalize the business strategy related to the commercial chain and EPICS

   Define and frame business opportunities, discuss main drivers, explore assumptions, set change management expectations

   Propose several levels of investment to choose the best solution in line with user needs and available budget

   Synthesize the entire solution in a SDP, including the need for automatic monitoring

   Ensure that NorthStar’s principles are correctly applied

   Levers: Design thinking, UX Design, Business Value Model, Persona

As a member of the product management team, the PO helps slice the Epics into features, then slice the features into stories

   Define user stories including acceptance criteria

   Refine backlog with team members and other POs so that next priority user stories are clear and small enough and major dependencies with other teams are known

   Participate in the Agile@Scale ceremonies of the team, and is located as often as possible within the team.

Prioritizes at the level of features and stories:

   Help product management to prioritize and build a forecast for new increments

   Order the team backlog to aid delivery (with functional, technical and cross-functional elements)

   Take into account requests from Agile Chapters in his increments

   Ensure that budget is well executed (in mds and euros)

   Ensure the projects milestones are met on time

Validates user stories based on acceptance and seeks user feedback to provide it to feature team members. It focuses on how to provide functionality that brings the most business value to the user. It facilitates the delivery as soon as possible to reduce the risks of use during the release.

Communicate regularly:

   To the team members: the vision, the objectives and the roadmap defined by the level of the portfolio and product management

   To users and stakeholders: uses demos to gather feedback and show progress of releases, and communicates to users before each release in production.

   During sub-PMT meetings on the progress of his Epics and works before the meeting on his slide deck on the shape/content. And always by highlighting the value delivered.

AUTONOMY :

   High level of autonomy: Organizes planning of his own work, prioritizes, sets deadlines in collaboration with feature team members
