Senior Product Owner
Responsibilities
As part of the re-organization, this role will be part of the new department responsible for defining the GLBA transformation strategy & programs and report directly to the Head of Products for this unit.

• Consolidate the Voice of the Customer by liaising regularly with all stakeholders
• On business side with sponsor, key–users, product management and others POs
• On technical side Product Owner works to understand technical constraints and innovation points.
• As customers or users are the ultimate judges of the value, the PO organizes regular
feedback session to catch their inputs and verify innovation impact.
• Product Owner can participate to some chapters to track innovation opportunities.
• Tools : Backlog refinement, On-boarding of key users (demo).
• Works with Product Management to understand and finalize the business strategy related to
the business chain and to Epics
• Define and frame business opportunity, discuss business drivers, investigate hypothesis,
define learning expectations.
• Tools : Design thinking, UX Design, Business value model, Persona
• As a member of product management team a POs helps slicing Epics in feature and, after that,
slice (according to Feature priority) features into stories element (according to other POs
dependencies)
• Define the user stories including acceptance criteria
• Refine the backlog with team members and other POs so next prioritized user stories are
clear enough, small enough and major dependencies with other feature teams are
known.
• Product Owner prioritizes at feature and stories level :
• Helps product management to prioritize at feature level and construct a forecast for nexts
increments
• Ordered the team backlog to ease the delivery pipeline (with functional, technical and transversal items)
• Product Owner validates the user stories according to the acceptance and looks for any users feedback to
provide to the feature team members. Product Owner focuses on the way to provide the more valuable
functionality to users. Product Owner ease to deliver as early as possible to decrease usage risks when
releasing.
• Product Owner communicates regularly :
• To the team members : the vision, the objectives and roadmaps defined by portfolio level
and product management.
• To the users and stakeholders : use demo to have feedback and show delivery progress.
Profile required
• LEGITIMATE both at strategic level and on the field
• Representative of the users (or a Key user himself)
• GOOD COMMUNICATION skills : able to facilitate engaging workshops with users
• Listening to key users and to IT team
• Assertive: open to negotiation on the stories Product Owner’s able to say ‘NO’ and to motivate why
• AVAILABLE: to work, closely, with users and feature team members Product Owner musty allow enough time
for frequent interactions & to be present to answer the feature team questions as quickly as possible
• TECHNICAL FOUNDATION : Product Owner has basic IT knowledge and appetite for IT in order to be able to
work with architect, BA and team member. Product Owner must have a clear understanding of the IS
• Feature Team and/or Product Backlog (user stories,
acceptance criteria, prioritization)
• Feature Team and/or Product Backlog level Demo
• Feedback from users and stakeholders
• Dependencies follow up at stories and feature level

• TRUST : Trustable and able to trust team members in their ability to deliver
Product Owner can delegate to BA or any team member when needed
