Responsibilities

The Product Development team is mandated and accountable to ensure the Global Prime Services Platform remains competitive, relevant and innovative in an ever evolving business landscape.  The team is a central resource for coordination with support divisions (Compliance, Risk, I.T., Legal, Operations) and act as direct liaison to clients, exchanges and third-party technology providers - keeping a pulse on industry landscape and an escalation point for issue resolution.
A global team of experienced professionals with deep technical and operational knowledge for Prime Brokerage Products, each team member is expected to hold specialized expertise in one or more products whilst remaining a generalist product resource to assist Sales and management.
These include but not limited to:
•    Project and Product management to assist in the delivery of assigned Prime Services projects ensuring the platform remains competitive;
•    Analyze evolution of market structure, liquidity and identify strategic opportunities in equity prime brokerage space;
•    Develop, execute and maintain a strategic roadmap for market-makers clearing offering;
•    Engage with senior leaders at market-making firms to support the development of a secure, cost-effective product delivery.
•    Participate in Client Sales Pitches as a product expert.
•    Align the business objectives with financial resources and firm’s risk appetite
•    Monitor regulation changes, ensure compliance risks are proactively managed.
•    Engage and maintain relationships with support functions to ensure a high level of customer service

Profile required

Within Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Global Markets Division brings together the Research, Investment and Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Clearing, Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income, Futures and Currencies & Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. The business uses an advisory and innovation mindset, focused on client needs, with a global leader in financial markets engineering. Global Markets is a leading player in derivatives, with unrivaled over the counter and listed derivatives expertise, as well as cross-asset and economic research.  Our prime services' offering is a unique combination of execution, clearing, custody and financing services.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Technical Skills:
•    Microsoft Office suite with particular focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
•    Coding skills 
Desired:
•    Project Management skills
•    Bloomberg
•    SQL and other database querying languages
Competencies:
Team members need understanding in the following areas:
•    Experience building and scaling broker-dealer clearing business.
•    Experience and understanding of market-makers clearing business.
•    Knowledge of operational and credit risks in PB. 
•    Experience with establishing and maintaining client and exchange memberships.
•    Knowledge of regulatory framework for broker-dealers and specifically market-makers clearing.
•    Understanding of derivatives and Cash Prime brokerage including system deployment and trade flow analysis on Clearing, Margin and Risk processes, Client reporting, Equity Finance trading.
•    Organization and leadership skills.

•    Successful candidate must have fitness, propriety and integrity

Qualifications:
•    Experience Needed : 7+ years of Securities Product Management experience or equivalent;
Desired:
•    Work experience in finance, preferably in Prime Brokerage related functions;
•    High level knowledge of Fixed Income, FX, Centrally cleared OTC or other PB products will be an advantage but not necessary
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Desired : Masters or equivalent in a numerate discipline (Engineering / Sciences)
Certifications : FINRA Series 7 and 63 at a minimum

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
