Senior Programmer Analyst –FINRA and CFTC regulations / Compliance Technology (SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, Chicago, IL)
Perform Data architecture for public and private cloud compliance databases. Design solutions for new builds and identify potential issues and areas for improvement. Provide reporting and systematic solutions for FINRA and CFTC regulations. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to confer with other programmers to create the best solutions to complex technical problems. Automate reports with complex logic from internal and external data repositories. Create unix scripts for automated jobs and commands. Database queries and generate Compliance reports in public cloud technologies, using Azure. Develop monitoring capabilities for regulatory and surveillance reporting. Create data quality controls for critical Compliance Reports. Refactor complex Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL stored procedures. Create data feeds from data repositories to user interface. Perform Level 3 support for database incidents. Create front end user interface to maintain static data. Perform complex data analysis in the datalake. Document technical architecture flow. Telecommuting permitted up to two days per week. When not telecommuting must report to SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, 425 S. Financial Place, Chicago, IL. Salary: $147,472 - $250,000 per year.
Profile required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors’ Degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving database development in the financial services industry.
Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience developing database components in conjunction with object-oriented programming; 5 years of professional experience providing level 3 technical support in the event of a production issue with applications; 5 years of professional experience performing PySpark or UNIX Shell Scripting; 4 years of professional experience performing database development in Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure, and AWS, automated processing using shell scripting, complex data analysis, and public cloud development; and 4 years of professional experience working with technical infrastructure for financial markets and Compliance related activities (including Capital Market Surveillance, Regulatory Reporting, and Regulatory Registration for FINRA and CFTC).

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
