Responsibilities

Senior Programmer Analyst (Software Engineering/Coding) position at SG Americas Operational Services, LLC in New York, NY.

Multiple positions available. Develop and support in-house software to support the bank global markets
activity. Work hand in hand with equity derivatives trading desks and their operational teams to develop or
improve tools that suit their business needs and help them operate under competitive conditions in terms
of technology. Demonstrate reactivity and efficiency when facing production issues on existing tools.
Leverage help from L1 support team and manage communication with end-users and management.
Transform legacy macros and tools to server-based applications, with strong, sustainable, and easy-tomaintain architecture. Test developed algorithms to ensure the logic behaves as expected through unittesting. Keep monitoring, performance, and capacity management in mind when building or improving an
application. Maintain comprehensive business domain knowledge including financial markets dynamics to
be able to communicate with the traders efficiently and understand their needs to the fullest. Adapt and
enhance existing software used in other regions to fit the US markets specificities and provide help to other
regions trying to adopt tools built in the Americas. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 3 days a week.
When not telecommuting, must report to SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, 245 Park Ave, New York
10167. Salary: $151,819-$250,000 per year

Profile required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or U.S. equivalent in Financial Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 3 years of professional
experience as a Programmer Analyst, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving
implementing software solutions for financial trading and risk industry.
Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience using object-oriented programming to
develop multithreaded applications in Java; 3 years of professional experience exposing cloud-native
RESTFul APIs in Java; 3 years of professional experience consuming RESTFul and SOAP APIs in Java
and Python; 3 years of professional experience building and supporting automation tools in Python and
VBA; 3 years of professional experience utilizing source version control Git, and managing a continuous
integration / continuous delivery platform with Jenkins; 3 years of professional experience working with
MSSQL and PostGreSQL Databases; 3 years of professional experience performing front-end web
development in Angular; 3 years of professional experience working with Agile development methodology
and following unit-testing practices; 3 years of professional experience in a front-facing position, interacting
in a fast-paced environment to capture and deliver business requirements from a financing trading desk;
and 2 years of professional experience training and upskilling new joiners with success.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
