Senior Research Analyst (U.S. Internet/Technology) (Bernstein Institutional Services LLC, New York, NY)
Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth analysis of companies, stocks, and industry themes; Publish written research on industry insights; Conduct and report on financial forecasting, including building detailed forward looking models; Build strong relationships across the investing community including our sales, trading teams and institutional clients; Build a network within their industry including senior management of their companies; Collaborate with global Senior Analyst peers in researching and analyzing technology industry trends, developing sector expertise; Communicate perspective on strategic positioning of companies within coverage and their future prospects in the market, and analysis of industry themes; Perform fundamental company and financial analysis and provide market performance and investment research coverage for companies within various industries; Perform complex financial forecasting, including building detailed financial forward-looking models; Contribute to the firm’s research written products; Define data requirements, collect data from a wide range of publications, public filings and databases (Bloomberg, FactSet), and validate information by applying judgment and statistical tests and using a variety of software tool; Build strong relationships across the investing community, including our sales and trading teams and institutional clients; Build a network within the Technology industry including senior management of their companies; and Lead team of 1-2 Research Associates. Requires up to 20% domestic and international travel for marketing investment ideas to global institutional investors. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 245 Park Ave., New York, NY 10167 when not telecommuting. Salary: $225,000-$450,000 per year.

Profile required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Operations Research or a related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title performing equity research and competitive landscape analysis.
Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience building forward-looking financial models, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and valuation models; 3 years of professional experience analyzing financial statements (including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow) and utilizing data sources; 3 years of professional experience independently drafting written reports and presentations for internal and external clients using statistical methods for data validation and trend identification; 3 years of professional experience performing equity research including analyzing stocks, sectors, and industry trends and performing competitive landscape analysis; and 2 years of professional experience visualizing and analyzing results with Microsoft BI or Tableau.
