Société Générale Global Solution Centre Poland is a new, growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch, and we are currently looking for a Settlement Operations Manager.

Your future responsibility will cover:
Guiding and supporting the team to encourage individual growth and process improvement and overseeing the implementation of new controls
Ensuring confirmation processes follow established norms and market standards
Making sure all transactions, including manual settlements, are processed according to currency cutoffs and client requirements
Monitoring team activities to maintain quality and effective controls
Supervising and supporting team members during shifts, serving as the main contact for expert advice and escalations, and providing clear guidance on procedures and standards
Providing training and guidance on applications, procedures, and internal controls
Ensuring all processes are documented in up-to-date procedures and shared in a common location
Managing regular reporting with relevant metrics and analytics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Communicating effectively with clients, internal teams, and regulatory authorities
Overseeing and addressing settlement and confirmation issues promptly, escalating incidents as required, and minimizing negative impacts on clients and downstream teams
Helping to resolve daily processing issues quickly and seek long-term solutions to reduce manual work and improve automation
Maintaining strong operational controls, ensuring checklists are completed, and permanent supervision is properly conducted and documented
Promoting continuous improvement by monitoring team performance and applying effective management practices
Staying informed about market, currency, payment standards, and regulatory updates
Ensuring awareness of and adherence to all relevant internal policies and operational risk requirements, including security and regulatory obligations, for all related areas of responsibility
Managing, controlling, preparing, and escalating risks as appropriate within the role
Acting with integrity, skill, care, and diligence in all professional activities, maintaining high standards of conduct
Following appropriate standards of market conduct and take reasonable steps to understand and complying with all applicable regulatory requirements
Profile required
You will be best suited for the role if:
You have extensive operational experience and relevant team management experience
You have a sound knowledge of FIC product like FX, MM, Rates, Credits, Options, Payment processes, SWIFT standards, currency/country specificities, Gross, NET and CLS settlements
You are competent in using the various applications in end-to-end processing of settlements
You have a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and various stakeholders & cross impact at each stage
You are familiar with a variety of commonly used desktop applications such as: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet browsers
You have good problem-solving skills
You are keen and quick to learn, meticulous, and a motivated individual
You are fluent in English, spoken and written
