Specialist Software Engineer - Datastage
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced datawarehouse engineer with strong skills on Datatstage. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data ingestion, data processing, and data management using Data warehousing /ETL projects on Data validations .
Knowledge on Datastage & Teradata/Postgres development is a must to have.. You will be responsible Independently design components, develop code and test case scenarios by applying relevant software craftsmanship principles and meet the acceptance criteria using Datastage. In addition, you will work with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, and schedulers like CTRL-M, to automate data workflows.
Profile required

· 5+ years’ experience on Datastage & Teradata/Postgres development in Data warehousing projects preferably in Banking Domain.
· Should be well versed on Agile Process and actively involved in the Agile ceremonies.
· Should have good Unix commands and scripting knowledge.
· Should have worked in Data warehousing /ETL projects on Data validations.
· Individual contributors should run the project end to end.
· Should have Control-M knowledge for scheduling Unix jobs.
· Proficient in SQL with analytical skills, Identifying data anomalies and providing resolutions.
· Good to have BI tool MicroStrategy knowledge.
· Should be able to communicate with BA on technical failures and acceptance criteria for business changes for the Prod and preprod.
· Good analytical/ troubleshooting skills to cater the business requirements...
· Effective verbal and written communication to work closely with all the stakeholders.
Technical Skills Required
· DB : TERADATA
· ETL with devops environment : HDFS, YARN, AWX, API file transfer, Hive Querying, Jenkins, CTRL-M
· Source code : Git on github.
· OS : Linux and good proficiency on shell scripting.
· Methodology : Agile via Scrum/Kanban (tool Jira)
- Good to have knowledge of Snowflake or cloud data platforms
- Good to have BI MicroStrategy knowledge – This is more relevant to PLR and not for EDC and CMW.
