Specialist Software Engineer - Dev Ops
Responsibilities
-Ability to set up the metrics needed to monitor applications
-Ability to work independently and in a multicultural team, distributed team (France, India)
-Ability to communicate in English (read, written and spoken)
- Involved in application environment updates, DR, server/OS patches upgrades
-Assist the DevOps of the perimeter as well as their teams to define and implement an automation strategy (CI / CD, tests, deployments, supervision, etc.).
-Contribute to technological choices and architecture
-Manage legacy internal hosting infrastructures and IaaS / PaaS services on the Societe Generale Private Cloud.
-Ensure the delivery and operations of a consistent, resilient and scalable solution.
-Contribute to ensuring the security of the solutions offered to customers and their data.
- Provide suggestions for automating the repetitive and regular production activities
Profile required
- 7+ years’ experience in production support, DevOps, and application development.
-Significant experience in DevOps or SRE
-Past experience as a Java / Spring developer
-Experience on infrastructures based mainly on containers, micro-services (Apache Tomcat, Java, Spring)
-Web / application servers: Apache, Apache Tomcat, NGINX
-Containers and virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as a Code : Terraform, Ansible
-Configuration and scripting management: Git, HELM, YAML, Shell, Python
-Packaging and CI: Git / GITHUB, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube
-Monitoring tools: Appdynamics, Elastic APM, Sysdig, Graphana, Elasticsearch, Kibana
-Operating system: Linux, Shell
- Database management system: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
-Integration: REST Webservice, IBM MQ, JMS, IBM Connect Express
-High availability, clustering, load balancing, auto-scaling
-Cloud computing: Private & Public Cloud
-Understanding of cybersecurity topics: PKI, intrusion detection, WAF.
-Understanding Disaster Recovery, Chaos Monkeys topics
-Knowledge of agile frameworks: Scrum, SAFe
