Responsibilities

Senior Frontend Engineer – Ayvens (Velocity)
About the role

Join us as a Senior Frontend Engineer and help shape the future of the Ayvens digital experience. You’ll work on a comprehensive React/Typescript UI component library used across several Ayvens products, collaborating with design and other developers on how to best create quality, reusable, and testable components.

What you’ll do

- Build and UI components using React and TypeScript.

- Help optimize the components to fast, reliable, and accessible.

- Write high‑quality tests with Jest, Testing Library, and Playwright.

- Maintain clean, consistent code using ESLint and Stylelint.

- Work from designs created by UX in Figma, and implement these to pixel precision in code.

- Upgrade legacy code to modern standards, often requiring some investigative work to determine the best solution when a clear upgrade path isn’t available.

- Share ideas, contribute to discussions, and support good engineering practices.

What you bring

Must‑haves

- 6+ years of professional frontend development experience.

- Exceptionally strong experience with React and TypeScript.

- Good understanding of state‑management libraries.

- Strong testing experience (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).

- Solid Git skills and comfortable with reviewing code thoughtfully.

- Solid understanding of algorithms, browser fundamentals, and CSS.

- Experience with web accessibility.

Nice‑to‑have experience

- GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and multi‑environment pipelines.

- Prior experience with building FE component libraries.

- Experience with Storybook.

How we work

We work in a Frontend focused team and maintain high quality using peer reviews, automated tests, and custom ESLint rules. We use lint‑staged, conventional commits, and contribute actively to a vibrant internal frontend community. We collaborate frequently with design and developers who use our component library.

The tech you’ll work with

- React 18/19 / TypeScript

- Styled Components

- Jest, Playwright

- GitLab CI/CD, Azure CI/CD, JFrog

If you enjoy solving complex frontend problems, building high quality components for other developers to use, and working with modern tools in a supportive engineering culture, you’ll feel at home here.
