Specialist Software Engineer - Python/ PySpark/ Databricks
Responsibilities
Skill - Python/ PySpark/ Databricks SSE
- Work with other teams to provide day to day admin and development support for ongoing activities.
- Analyse, develop, code, test, debug and document programming on assigned applications as per business requirements.
- Provide support for modelling and risk management applications.
- Work independently with project managers/Developers'/ business users on Projects to define and provide support and administration.
- Monitor Platform for performance and to be pro-actively able to handle any event/ incident occurrences.
- Conduct monitory checks as part of regulatory requirements in STT DATALAB team.
- Perform Root cause analysis and hot fixes as suggested by Transversal Tech teams
- Diagnose issues, report, resolve and document with resolution.
- Exposure to Agile methodology and technical documentation on all the tasks.
- Detail oriented and diligent in delivery – strong balance of technical and soft skills.
- Ability to think and contribute towards process and innovation.
- Ability to create training documents and take initiatives to train peers.
- Ability to work and contribute as an Individual contributor with limited supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team to deliver in tight timeframes and respond quickly in an ever-changing environment.
Profile required
Technical skills
- Strong expertise in Python, Spark, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud (not necessarily deep expertise, but enough to ramp up quickly)
Soft skills
- Agile mindset and collaborative working style
- Strong communication skills and team spirit
- Ability to integrate smoothly into an existing team
- Capacity to ask questions, challenge constructively, and make proposals
