Specialist Software Engineer - Support
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Application Support Engineer in a very rich and dynamic environment, you will work closely with the development team. You will be in charge of the functional and technical support of the production environments.
What you will do:
• Daily support tasks (90%):
• Technical and functional support of the production;
• Monitoring and request / Incident management;
• Pick-up calls on a shared hotline;
• Features explanations;
• Knowledge transfer for new joiners and users;
• Crisis management if needed;
• Release management (5%)
• Study release impacts on production;
• Provide L1 & L2 cross Technical/functional support to Front, Middle and Back Office users.
• Install new version in production and ensure post deployment checks;
• Collaborate and co-ordinate with global support and development teams in Europe and America whilst conforming to “Follow The Sun” model.
• Continuous improvement on production environment.
• Reach for a full automation of manual tasks, delivery process and monitoring.
• Monitor and maintain critical batch processes, server inventory and application runbooks.
• Manage the communication between the users and the technical / functional team
• Assist in prioritizing production incidents and enhancements with product owner and development team.
• Drive the incident management calls and make sure ITIL practices are effectively followed.
• Make available the knowledge of the local activity by promoting and updating specific documentation
• Increase efficiency of critical daily batch processes by identifying and eliminating redundant processes.
• Identify improvement areas and lead the automation of manual checks/tasks
• Propose transformation of existing processes both for the business or our production services activities
• Should be a self starter, having passion for technology and must be a quick leaner.
• Participate in DR and BCP activities
Profile required
REQUIRED PROFILE
• Finance Investment Banking functional knowledge on Post trade, Front office, Collateral, and Extensive knowledge FOREX business on LMA activity. LMA is a trading activity in charge of providing liquidity to its clients and also hedging their portfolio to cover their forex risks on a daily basis. LMA as Liquidity provider (linked change)- Auto FX- Share Class Hedging (SCH)- Multi Currency Hedging (MCH)- Cash Reinvestment..
• At least minimum 4yrs+ experience in production/application support.
• Good technical knowledge on Unix, Shell Scripting, SQL, PLSQL, ITIL and Java would be a plus.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken. French would be a plus.
• Good analytical skills and ability to summarize key messages.
• Good communication skills, adaptability and self-control.
• Client-driven approach & service oriented.
• Taking the lead in monitoring & alerts enhancement, checks automation, and bring in new technical ideas from DevOps model to the team.
• Being the lead in SLA project business process analysis that helps identify if technical solutions is feasible to meet business need. Close relationship with business, understand the business need and update to users regularly solutions follow-up.
• High autonomy and ability to work in a stressful environment, accountability, rigor, cooperation, and team spirit.
