Specialist Software Engineer -Support
Responsibilities
Deliver prompt and effective support for proprietary software used by Exotic and Volatility trading desks, managing user requests and production incidents while maintaining clear, regular communication with end users.
Engage directly with end users to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into comprehensive and actionable user stories.
Collaborate closely with IT development and infrastructure teams to maintain and enhance production environment stability.
Proactively monitor application performance and workflow health; design and implement monitoring tools tailored to production needs.
Conduct thorough investigations and troubleshooting to resolve issues independently or as part of a team.
Develop sustainable software solutions with a strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and reusability.
Profile required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong knowledge of UNIX and SQL is required. Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Autosys, XL Deploy, VBA, Java, and C# is a plus.
Proven experience in incident troubleshooting and solution development.
Solid understanding of financial markets, including sensitivities and regulatory obligations.
Ability to learn quickly, work effectively under pressure, and collaborate closely with trading desks and peers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English is mandatory.
