Sr Analyst - Middle Office Closer
Responsibilities
This position handles primary duties including but not limited to documentation/processing /monitoring of Loan Trading functions. Other duties may include handling certain loan trading related reports as required.
The role incumbent is expected to:
- Knowledge of Financial Products (Especially Loans, Guarantee and Stand by Letter of Credit etc.).
- Through knowledge of syndicated loan documentation and trade documentation
- Full suite of Loan Trading
- Basic Accounting.
- Knowledge on Operational Risk.
- Knowledge on Credit Risk.
- Ensure the risks are well anticipated and managed
The role incumbent, as Sr. Analyst supporting Trade Closing in FIN
- Client/stakeholder management

- Report and escalate Client Incidents
- Develop and maintain a strong connect with stake holders
- Provide a quick/satisfactory resolution for issues
- Build effective synergy with cross-functional units
- Operational Excellence:

- Deliver BAU per set benchmarks/ agreements
- Monitor/Escalate errors and incidents
- Identify production efficiencies and deliver
- Monitoring all the below activities handled by the team to ensure better quality, controls are maintained.
- Handling of Loan Trading activities like preparing/reviewing LMA documents, Transfer Certificates and other related documents.
- Administratively manage the buy, sell, buy/sell transactions on loans executed on the primary or secondary market.
- Coordinate the different actors (Clients, Agents, Back-office…)
- Monitor the transfers execution.
- Modeling the loan trading deals in Loan IQ.
- Review the reconciliation of positions, discrepancies in commitments etc.
- There would be interaction with different departments within SG like Middle Office, Front Office, Accounting Teams, Treasury Teams, Application Support Teams, Project Teams etc and there would be interaction with external parties like Agents, Lenders, and Clients etc.
- Ensure compliance/regulatory adherence
- Guide the team on complex production issues
- Effectively manage the KRI/KPI
- Risk Management:

- Identify/Understand operational risks and remediate control gaps
- Prompt closure of audit/ inspection identified cases
- Ensure the team is updated on the risk gaps and the same is addressed timely
Profile required
- 4-10 years of experience in using LOAN IQ
- A good academic background
- Strong understanding of syndicated/bi-lateral financing and loan life cycle (Includes deal origination, transaction management, secondary trading, amendment/restructures)
- Knowledge on Basel Norms and credit risk
