Responsibilities

The Sales Associate Cash Management Sales interacts closely with Front office and Mid-Office in Brussels, our Head office in Paris as well as all PCM stakeholders such as Product Teams PCRU Teams and the Relationship Colleagues, product development areas and the Departments in charge of risks analysis and monitoring at Head Office in Paris.

The Student Project GTB works under the supervision of the Head of the GTB in Brussels.

Depending on her/his previous experience, the successful candidate will progressively enjoy a certain level of autonomy in her/his daily activity whilst performing a reporting adapted to her/his various duties

The Student Project GTB acts in the local regulatory, legal and fiscal environment. As such, she/he will need to have all the qualifications possibly required by the supervision body in charge of banks into comply with her/his responsibilities and duties

Successful candidate is expected to liaise at all levels of the national and/or international banking community and especially develop strong working relationship with GTB colleagues, clients, Relationship Managers and other Business Lines.

As Student Project GTB you will support the GTB/Payments & Cash Management team in Country in any Sales Office Activity with Corporates and Non-Bank Financial Institutions. You will report to the Head of the GTB Belgium.

Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:

  • Domestic and international means of payment
  • Foreign Exchange (when related to cross-border payments)
  • Electronic Banking products as well as associated services
  • Liquidity Management solutions like cash pooling
  • Domestic Guarantees
  • Active cross-selling with the different Business Lines of the Bank especially with the trade finance department of GTB

The role requires a strong client service orientation, operational and process knowledge, knowledge of regulatory and risk processes, analytical and communication skills as well as professional integrity at all times.

He/she will be an effective team player and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)

Tasks and responsibilities:

On the basis of a model "Pricing and Conditions" matrix, inventory all the pricing conditions subscribed to by the branch's customers (collection of information on contracts, amendments and agreements):

  • Identify all manual or non-applicable invoicing
  • Collect all information entered in the tools and compare it to ensure pricing reflects what has been subscribed to by customers
  • Report to the project team any discrepancies you have identified during this review
  • Propose repricing (conditions are not applied) or pricing (when there is no pricing) to prepare for sales negotiations subsequent
  • Be responsible for the completeness of this study
  • Ensure that all identified points have been analysed / Be a force of proposal / Implement actions validated by management - Propose operational control for the future to perpetuate the post-project situation
  • Ensure that all actions taken have been listed to allow the replication of this project with other European branches of the bank

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Currently studies for a master’s degree
  • Previous experience in Banking, Cash Management, Transaction Banking is considered a plus

Language skills:

  • English: C1
  • Dutch:C2
  • Other foreign language skills such as French would be advantageous

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience in Cash Management
  • Pro-active team player but also able to work autonomously
  • Time management, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills for pitching, other languages could be useful for this position
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Comfortable and confident to speak / present to clients and also SG senior management
