Responsibilities

  • Contribute to provide integrated debt structuring / capital structure / rating advisory / acquisition & strategic finance / market access solutions to key clients of the Bank, in close connection with coverage and corporate finance teams
  • Contribute to originate and execute strategic & acquisition finance and/or rating advisory mandates on all aspects (marketing materials, credit process incl. ESG analysis, legal doc negotiation), in accordance with SG and AFG policies and guidelines
  • Produce reliable modelling materials, client pitches and analysis documents supporting internal credit processes
  • Be abreast of key market trends, including economic/regulatory developments, dynamics of different industries as well as new rating methodologies, incl. ESG related topics

  • Demonstrate the highest standards of conduct and behaviour in meeting Group’s, Compliance's and Business Lines’ policies and procedures, and when interacting with regulators, market counterparties, clients and colleagues (including regulatory guidelines, mandatory training, data quality enhancement)
  • Demonstrate the adequate appropriation and continuous improvement on Culture & Conduct issues, through a sound environment encouraging speak-up and ethical decision making, by identifying and managing conduct risks and incidents and systematically processing their root causes, so as to prevent them for the future.

Profile required

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience

  • Currently studying towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance or Business disciplines
  • Previous internships which provided exposure to debt and rating advisory and in corporate finance will be well-regarded. This also includes some hands-on experience in structuring of event-driven financing (acquisition, spin-off, IPO, …), credit risk assessment and rating agencies methodologies and sector views
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling
  • Demonstrates good communication skills
  • Possesses rigor, adaptability and opennes
  • Innovative, driven by positive digital mindset
  • Fluent in English language

This is a 3-month internship with Societe Generale in Singapore whereby you will work within the Advisory & Financing team for the period.
