Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) acts as a business solutions center for Société Générale, one of the largest European financial groups. Project Description:
GBSU – Global Business Service Unit - delivers high quality services for the GBIS (Global Banking Investor Solutions) of Société Generale. It is a big organization spread around the globe with a central Hub in Paris.
GBSU covers the most important financial places: New York, London, Hong-Kong and Paris and as of today there are 3 hubs on which GBIS relies on: Bangalore, Montreal and Bucharest.
GBSU Bucharest manages IT applications dedicated to Exotic products (structured products) and vanilla equity derivative products, like options, futures and swaps(NEOS).
The support team of all EXO chain and NEOS perimeter is extended from Paris to Hong-Kong. With a team in Bucharest composed of 6 production support analysts.
The support analyst role entails extensive interaction with users and close collaboration with operational architecture, development, infrastructure, and international support teams.
Specifically, you will be required to:
1. User Support & Service Delivery
• Provide high-quality support and service to all users
• Handle and follow up on user requests, anomalies, and corrections
• Manage incidents and emergencies in a production environment
• Monitor applications and manage alerts
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and share information with international teams
2. Production Management
• Ensure system availability through continuous monitoring
• Communicate clearly with users during production incidents or events impacting business continuity
• Follow up rigorously on incidents and requests until resolution
• Monitor systems abroad as part of FTS
• Correctly prioritize incidents based on business impact
• Document support procedures and operational run-books
3. Project Monitoring & Coordination
• Accompany system changes in coordination with development teams and users
• Participate in team projects to improve and industrialize support tools
• Strengthen collaboration with development teams, users, and extended support teams
4. Team & Collaboration
• Operate as part of an international production support team
• Share information and documentation with regional and global teams
• Optimize tools and operational methods
• Train and onboard new team members
That will be driven by the following aspects:
• Anticipate and be reactive on incidents resolution
• Be structured and analytical to solve problems
• Be rigorous when handling/monitoring production incidents
Profile required
- Bachelor degree;
- Having experience with the following tools: Oracle SQL, Autosys or similar;
- Good knowledge on Unix and SQL;
- Basic knowledge of Continuous Integration Tools such as Jenkins;
- Experience with PL/SQL is mandatory; experience with swagger and micro-services;
- Ability to prioritize tasks (to size urgency of a request vs impact of the incident);
- High autonomy and ability to work in a client-oriented environment;
- Cooperation and team spirit in an international and multi-cultural environment (Europe, Asia and North America)
- Good command of English, both written and spoken with the ability to participate in English-only meetings;
- Knowledge and/or interest for financial investment products appreciated;
- Availability to work outside of business hours (rotation schedule, around 2 weekends per trimester).
